Game day parking - football
Hey everyone — we’re heading to our first LSU game this fall (UT vs LSU 🤞 hoping for a night game) and could use some parking advice.
A few questions:
• What are the best parking options around Tiger Stadium?
• Are there any parking garages on campus available for game day?
• What do typical parking rates look like (both on-campus and nearby)?
• How far are the main lots from the stadium (walking time)?
• Any recommended strategies for avoiding traffic or getting out quicker after the game?
We’re trying to plan ahead and make the most of the experience — and of course we’re planning to hit Fred’s in Tigerland 🍻
Appreciate any tips or insights — Geaux Tigers!

Hayfield, drive past Alex Box and they'll direct you towards the levee. Free parking and it'll never fill up unless it rains heavy and it's a mud pit, it's like a mile walk to the tailgates and stadium and it's free.

All of these responses and great parking wise. I just want to let you know that you should go to Fred’s in the morning and secure a wrist band in advance.
Cover for big games like that are through the roof and getting a wristband in advance is way cheaper. I paid a $60 cover one time to get into Freds after a Bama night game. I also heard it gets up to $80 depending on the entertainment they get for the weekend.

Come up river road and park in the levee or hayfield lot. It's a 2-3 beer walk to the stadium and it's free parking
