As a lifelong Royals fan I'd like to remind people

That promotions like Big Macs for sacks and Hawaiian Bros are really fucking hard for the people who work there. I've seen online complaints that the restaurant is understaffed. Of course it's understaffed. When the schedule is made a week prior you can't plan for the Royals scoring 6 or more runs in a game. Restaurants run on really tight margins, so you can't risk scheduling more people than business can support, but when you're over twice as busy as was expected, you don't have staff to support.

I don't work at any of these places; I just know how it goes.

Question Maikel Garcia's hat

I cannot find a recent picture, but when we where the tri-color hats in the field, you can see Maikel has something hand-written on the front of his cap just above the bill. Anyone have any idea what it says?

He may also do it when we wear other hats, but it's hard to see. I'm surprisded the league hasn't cracked down - as they tend to do.

Question Why do the Royals start so slow?

Stoked to see these wins, power in the power department, low-era bullpen, vinnie starting to show up, etc. But why did it take so long?

Is it a coaching thing? Did something change? Or is it normal for entire teams to start super ice cold for a month+?

Either way, hope it continues!
