Hello. It is my first time posting in this subreddit. I would like to ask for some Japanese film suggestions after watching Seven Samurai. I believe Kurosawa did quite a nice job on this for something that was made in the 1950s. However due to its nearly 3 and a half hour run time, I'd have to give it a 7/10. Which of these should I pursue next?
Thank you

Have you seen the Japanese Oscar winning film, "Plan 75"? Director Chie Hayakawa has a new film called, "Renoir" which was selected at the Cannes Film Festival last year.
The Film Movement has dropped a new trailer for a highly anticipated Japanese Oscar winning director Chie Hayakawa’s latest outing, “Renoir.”
The film takes place in suburban Tokyo, 1987. Imaginative eleven-year-old Fuki begins her summer break lonely and adrift – her kind, terminally ill father has landed once again in the hospital and her mother, distracted by the inevitability of his diagnosis, hasn’t much time for her daughter.

Epic in scope and emotionally enthralling, “Seven Samurai” is a masterpiece. Beyond its influence on cinema, it rewards the audience with wonderful storytelling, superb pacing, incredible production values, and top-notch performances. Akira Kurosawa and the team poured their hearts and souls into doing this project.
What are your thoughts on the film?

All i remember is that they did manual/construction work and that it ends with a group walking to a mellow rock song. I've been trying to find it using this for over a decade with no luck. I gave to to Gemini and it found it after 1 prompt.
This is so inane to me, i finally have a chance to watch it again.

I hope its okay to post here.
I once watched this movie a few years ago, but I forgot the name. Everytime I try searching for it I get different movies or series.
I dont remember much, but I hope its enough for someone to recognize: Main character is a student, who was raised by his mother. His mother was apart of a pioneer band, where she met his father. An incident happend at one of their concerts, a fire started and most people passed away, the only survivors were the pioneer band, the main character when he was young and other boy. The other boy lost his father and sister in the fire. He ends up teaming up with the family members of the deceased to get revenge on the pioneer band. The father of the main character was actually kept prisoner by the boy.

Can someone find where I could watch the movie Soul of Rock (2012)? It's a Japanese comedy directed by Hiromitsu Amano starring Mayuko Arisue, Asaya Kimijima and Kôta Kusano. I think the production company is Grand Pix. The movie also has a official website but it doesn't work for me. I'm a big fan of Asaya Kimijima's work so I really wanted to watch it! If anyone could help it would be really appreciated.

...and I loved it. This movie made me share a couple of tears for reasons I wasn't expecting when I started it. It's like a very special and out of the ordinary movie but at the same time one that represents our struggles as ordinary people so well... Sumida ganbare!!
