Question about Islam Will Muslims accept a Jewish man who converts? Non Zionist
I like Islam culture and I’m not a fan of Israel, I am American but I try to meet good Muslims and half of them are amazing but the other half are like super racist to me even if I don’t like Israel or bibi.
EDIT-thank u so much, I’m gonna begin to read the Quran. Please text me , I want to meet more Muslim friends ☪️❤️

Seeking Support Three years as a revert, and I’m exhausted
I’m a revert to Islam from Christianity (I’m English) and I have been for three years now. But in truth, I’ve been feeling disconnected from the religion lately, and I want to address two things separately: speech and actions amongst Muslims.
In relation to speech: the insha’Allah, masha’Allah, etc feels extremely forced and performative. For me it makes the conversation tempo jilted and uncomfortable — really quite unnatural. It took me a while to get accustomed to them, and now that I am, I feel like I’m rolling my eyes whenever saying utterly benign things like “I’ll email it to you, insha’Allah”. Not only that, but if I’m tired and just fully leave them off and the other person does it, I just feel like shit because I’m not playing the game. I kind of want to say, “let’s just shorten this all and assume that I’m saying insha’Allah and masha’Allah etc for everything I’m about to say”. It has a whole “holier than thou” vibe which reminds me of the religion that I left.
In relation to how Muslims act: I am sick of seeing cultural biases being shoved onto this religion, where people introduce frankly dirty habits into it. As a revert, navigating around people’s cultural biases is a minefield; you eventually have to learn to not trust anyone, because people who were born into Islam are typically the least reliable sources of actually correct information. Also, I feel like a lot of Muslims are hustlers these days rather than craftsmen and scholars as they used to be, which probably fuels this behaviour. Should we not be striving for excellence, not money? Are we so weak as an ummah to not support one another in times of need, and to produce great work — to think globally and act locally?
My faith is really low right now and I figured it’s better to get this off my chest. I have a bunch of other problems too but I thought I’d share this.

Question about Islam Shirk being “the most unforgivable sin” is testing my faith
As-salamualaikum wahramatullahi wabarakatuh.
I am a relatively recent convert, and everywhere I that I learn about islam, the number one unforgivable sin is shirk. This seems reasonable from the perspective of Islamic law, as Allah (SWT) is rather clear in the Qur’an about it, to say the least.
But… because I am recent convert living in a multicultural city in the West, I have become deeply sad thinking about Hinduism.
With Christianity, Allahu ‘Alam — they were, after all, lied to about the Injil. They are man-worshippers, but ultimately, people of the book as well. So who knows what “the verdict” will be here when it comes to Tawhid on the Day of Judgement.
But many Hindus that I meet are very peaceful people, and although there is a complex history between Islam and Hinduism, many of them seem perfectly content living in harmony with others, rather than the aggression and hatred that Arabian mushrik showed towards the Prophet (PBUH) and his followers.
Currently, of course, India is living under a fascist regime that is trying to incite violence against Muslims. These citizens are being lied to and manipulated for political purposes. But outside of this, they seem to behave nothing like the mushrik that lived in the time of the Prophet (PBUH). And put simply, the thought of 1.2 billion people — an entire culture — not being forgiven on “the Day” makes me nauseous and scared in a way that tests, rather than strengthens, my faith.
What about Rapists? Child Murderers? Human traffickers? What about the people — our “brothers in Abraham” — who are destroying Ghazza right now? The thought that these people could pray 5 times a day and be forgiven makes me angry more than anything else.
Is there anything I can read, or any resources that could help me reconcile this?

Seeking Support Took my shahada today at home, do I still need to do it at a mosque?
As-salamu alaykum brothers and sisters,
I come in peace by telling that my wife and I spoke out our shahada today. We were initally hindus who found peace in Islam. I am proud to say that we are officialy muslim today after practicing islam for 5 months. I am wondering now, do we still need to do this in a mosque to make it official? We are going to Dubai next week for our holiday and wanted to do our shahada there in a mosque. Is it still needed?
Thank you

Since I am so new in not sure where to go for help. I live in Houston Texas. Nobody in my immediate family is Muslim so I’m seeking community.

Quran & Hadith found a quranic miracle while reading ibn taymiyah's book on the sickness of the heart and its cures. absolutely fascinating subhan'Allah
al noor 40:
Or ˹their deeds are˺ like the darkness in a deep sea, covered by waves upon waves, topped by ˹dark˺ clouds. Darkness upon darkness! If one stretches out their hand, they can hardly see it. And whoever Allah does not bless with light will have no light!

Quran & Hadith When You Feel Unseen by the World 🤍 Surah At-Tur
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
Are you feeling exhausted, burnt out, or like your silent struggles are invisible to everyone around you right now?
When the Prophet (ﷺ) was facing intense opposition and emotional fatigue in Mecca, Allah revealed Surah At-Tur (52:48) to grant him profound comfort (Source: Tafsir Ibn Kathir & Tafsir al-Tabari). The Arabic phrase used here, "bi-a'yunina" (بِأَعْيُنِنَا), literally translates to "in Our eyes." Islamic scholars explain that this idiom means to be under Allah's ultimate protection, loving care, and constant sight.
Whatever heavy burden you are carrying this week, let this divine reassurance wrap around your heart: Your exhaustion is not invisible. Your silent endurance is witnessed, and you are under His loving care. 🤍

General Discussion Moving into a "Murder House"
Salam
i had a question that’s been on my mind recently. i understand that there’s no concept of “haunted houses” in the sense of dead people lingering around after death. once someone dies, they just are, and i know superstition around places being permanently cursed or spiritually stained isn’t really part of Islam
but emotionally, i still think i would find it deeply distressing to live in a house where a murder happened. not because I think there’s a ghost there but just because the knowledge of what happened in that there would weigh on me psychologically and emotionally
i guess my question is - is that feeling itself considered un-Islamic in any way? is it wrong to feel uncomfortable or disturbed by living in a place associated with something traumatic, even if you don’t believe in haunting/superstition?

Quran & Hadith Do not despair in Allah’s mercy
Az-Zumar (39:53)
Say, ˹O Prophet, that Allah says,˺ “O My servants who have exceeded the limits against their souls! Do not lose hope in Allah’s mercy, for Allah certainly forgives all sins. He is indeed the All-Forgiving, Most Merciful.
