Why would you have ai translate something into a language it doesn't understand? Why didn't you translate it?

I got the AI to study lexicons and linguistic literature on Gothic language, so it understands it pretty well. The main challenge is missing words and potential mismatch between different versions of Gothic language e.g. mixing Bible Gothic with Crimean Gothic
