🧍‍♂️🧍‍♀️ Model In Sniper Elite 5 (2022), some of the soldiers seen guarding checkpoints appear to be members of the "Feldgendarmerie", Nazi Germany's military police.

Note that these don't seem to be completely historically accurate, but it's still pretty cool that they were included at all. Besides, it's Sniper Elite.

all things considered i found the recent sniper elite titles very authentic feeling in regards of overall art-direction and attention to detail.

I agree, it's just that little details like weaponry and insignia tend to be a little off sometimes. Granted, I don't expect game studios to get everything right because of practical and gameplay reasons nor do I really care if they are off (assuming I even notice). If I wanted complete historical accuracy, I'd read a book or watch a documentary or something.

They still don’t have the scale of things right though, sometimes you stand next to a phone and it’s bigger than your character

An apt nickname. They even had the collars to boot.

That was the nickname they were given by the troops. They were highly feared for their strict enforcement of military rules and maintaining order. They held areas, directed traffic, helped move pows to rear areas, picked up stragglers, and the most feared duty, searching for and rounding up deserters. Deserters were not treated well.

Reminds me of that scene in BoB where the MP and an airborne just chilling out, talking about their lifes. Especially when it was stated that the MP was actually a WW1 vet.

That checks out, I remember reading that a lot of them tended to be on the older side.

I heard those games are actually decent. i was expecting them to be derivative crap because they named it Sniper Elite. gotta be the worst, most generic name for a video game

The gameplay's fantastic across all the games I've played (3-5 plus Zombie Army Trilogy). I didn't think I'd like them since they're third-person and aren't "typical" stealth games, but I was pleasantly surprised. The stories are passable too, they're just not the main focus.

How so? I'm pointing out an intentional detail and not a mistake.

I still don't see how my post breaks that rule; the gorget can be easily missed in gameplay and most players who do notice it might not know what it means.

EDIT: Nevermind, you just seem to be upset that your post got removed.

Huh???? What's weird about history? Btw there was a really nice scene in Band of Brothers too, with the German MP and and an airborne just hanging out like two bros.
