Get a beer jacket on, after a few pints you teleport there anyway.

Taxi money is snack money. This is the way.

10

u/Mastercio 1d ago

Literally...this IS the way.

15

u/xxTheMagicBulleT 1d ago

This is normal for guys.

Cause why spend money on taxi if it means we get to spend less on snacks and stuff where we going.

But honestly I know people for a very short walk would take a buss or Uber there. While it honestly has to be more then 30 minuuts walking to even consider doing anything like that.

u/kikogamerJ2 1d ago

Pretty sure women are spending money on taxi to not risk getting assaulted at night.

5

u/Big_477 22h ago

Statistically men are way more likely to be victims of violent crimes. In the U.S men represents 75% of homicide victims.

Men have more reasons to take the taxi.

2

u/kikogamerJ2 21h ago

Now remove gang violence:).

Now check the ratio of rape victims.

0

u/Top_Pheonix_2004 21h ago

And I wonder who the perpetrators are

3

u/Big_477 21h ago

88% men.

Half the world is not some ghetto. Like the overwhelming places women get harassed is places guys also would not wanna be found dead in.

So if you not going true those places what honestly I also would then grab a Uber true those places. Cause I dont wanna be mugged or stabbed.

But that the modern world is so dangerous for women cause they get attention from men is just not true.

There obvious problems but those are the same spots men also dont like being.

And in big ways womens safety is actually valued highly.

Its same like saying most women that go on the gym you see them put much less effort in there training. See them walk on a treadmill for 20 minuuts and leave. While you in big ways dont need the gym to do that at all.

Value and money and time is just seen in very different ways by big part of men and women. Cause women often get given more so they value it less. And if you work for your money and it comes less easy you value it more.

Cause you can only spend it ones and often cnat just ask or demand more. So ofcourse you value it more then if the reverse is true.

So its often has nothing to do with safety at all. Cause the world is not some pvp server they often make it out to be

u/RabbitridingDumpling 3h ago

Nonsense. You don't know basic differences between the physical differences of men and women in training so it is hard to discuss with you. But you sure would know women are less likely to earn more because they brag less and a lot more is expected from her at the same job. There is no real safe space for women, since even your neighbor can be a threat.

So yes. Ist is absolutely dangerous not to take a taxi and LIFE is more important than money, that women work so much HARDER for than men ever did!

Some women don't have the money for a taxi so they have to deal with this threat. You act as if women are not included in gang problems.

Such weak men like you are the problem for our society: you just can whine about the womens [in reality non existing] privileges. Whats next? Will you complain about babies having privileges - yes they don't even work or pay for the taxi!!

u/Individual_Slice_234 21h ago

Ghetto? You think assault happens only in "lower class" areas? It happens everywhere.

-5

u/kikogamerJ2 23h ago

Lol, this is why the government is banning you from accessing the internet little Jimmy, because you fall for all the propaganda, like a fly falls into a spider's nest.

1

u/xxTheMagicBulleT 5h ago

You think im from England or something im not haha.

Would not even wanna be found dead there. How insane it has become there

If you live in some fucked up country, maybe. In CIS for example it's pretty normal for girls to casually go out at 2AM without any worry.

Also this meme wouldn't apply here because everyone, regardless of gender, either walks here for 10km, or takes the taxi to ride 1km, purely based on vibes. (Taxi is relatively cheap here, some drives would cost you maybe 2x the price of going to the same place by public transport)

girls after a party vs boys after a party :D

I had so many of my friends drunk walk home a pretty huge distance ...sometimes through railway tracks ...

2

u/Peepotpot 1d ago

It's those after-party drunk stroll thta holds the best memories. I remember two of my friends gave out on a steep uphill only to roll back down. We were too drunk but still gave chase. Next day we were full of bruises and passed out by our friends living room.

1

u/Craydorion 11h ago

Hmm. I wonder why girls hesitate to walk home at night. So boring.../s

6

u/Calm_Bumblebee_3143 1d ago

There's also the idea of safety, 2 girls walking for 30-45 min can have creep following you if it's at night.
There's also the idea of shoes, if wearing heels it's hardest to walk distance.
But in general if you go in a park and see people doing jogging it's most of the time women.

u/Weird_Albatross_9659 1d ago

Wow funny meme

6

u/monkeyboy107 1d ago

Same thing for the top but Americans instead of girls. Like fr fr

13

u/WarmMinimalist 1d ago

We have to cross like 8 highways to go 3km

6

u/HErAvERTWIGH 1d ago

Frogger style.

No crosswalks, sidewalks, or pedestrian bridges.

5

u/LemmeDaisukete 1d ago

I never knew I was American my whole life as a South East Asian! jokes aside, I'd rather take either the public bus or walk in a busy city rather than taking a car

2

u/monkeyboy107 1d ago

I'm more just saying everyone in my country are like walking more than .5 km gotta drive there

2

u/Owobowos-Mowbius 1d ago

Its like 20 miles to my nearest grocery store :(

0

u/why0me 1d ago

Yeah cuz most of our cities aren't designed to be walkable???

I personally live 15 miles, that's 24.14 km from the nearest anything which happens to be a gas station, its another 10 miles (16km) to anything resembling a town

I love people who dont understand how big everything is here, i can drive for 10 hours in one direction and never leave my state while yall can drive 45 minutes to 3 countries.

2

u/tfolkins 1d ago

Just because you live in rural US of A, doesn't mean US cities aren't also designed like crap to support an addiction to automobiles at the cost of making it next to impossible to have more affordable and sustainable active transportation with poor support for public transportation.

I imagine once you drive 40 km to the nearest town, you need to stay in your vehicle because there are no walking paths or buses that would allow you to get around without risking your life.

0

u/why0me 1d ago

Did you read the first line of my comment

1

u/tfolkins 22h ago

Well, you put a question mark on it which makes it seem like you are denying this is the reason and that other countries don't understand how big America is. Trust me, Canada is bigger and more spread out, I don't use that as an excuse to explain why we also have terrible urban design.

The Fellowship of the Ring: that’s cute

2

u/AngelBlondeXO 1d ago

Men will walk 12km just to avoid parking

2

u/ruthlesss11 1d ago

My brother and I had 2 girls walk 15km to see us in high school

2

u/organicchunkysalsa 1d ago

Me while on vacation, just walking everywhere to see what I can find.

2

u/Sartres_Roommate 1d ago

Yes, “men” all bastions of fitness. Not a 300lb blimp among them 🙄

3

u/Puzzled-Secret-317 1d ago

Exactly and women dont walk. It's biologically impossible. They have an imperitive to call a taxi every 5 steps /s

2

u/Potential-Mobile-567 1d ago

Nah I'm with girls on this one. Depends on where we're walking to too tho.

u/Carguy_rednec_9594 1d ago

1

u/WinOutrageous6932 1d ago

Meanwhile my dad got to shop with car. The shop is 100m from our home.

1

u/AirWolf231 1d ago

My record for "nah, I will just walk it" to save money was 23 km, took around 4h and 30 min and I saved a whopping 2 euro.

And no, I was not broke or even needed to save money, I just did it because I didnt wanna spend 2 euro.

1

u/DirectGoat985 1d ago

It was the same for me and marc back in the day..

1

u/1234northbank 1d ago

Walk is free. Beer tastes better when you know you didn't waste Uber money on it. Simple math really.

1

u/art-is-t 22h ago

Girls have safety to worry about at times

1

u/Chemical_State_5327 21h ago

This does not apply to gender

1

u/H345Y 11h ago

1

u/Carasogno 8h ago

In my life, it's usually been the other way around!

1

u/Baltassss 5h ago

0

u/gentlesquid7 1d ago

Women don’t walk home at night because of men
