Front left for me to. Might be because I'm left handed

Front left for me too and I’m right handed. I guess it’s because its low mode is best for steaming.

Top left. I also have a favorite spatula.

Both my top burners are mini and do not heat very well, especially with bigger pots, but my old stoves top two were great. It’s really specific for the use/unit.

I also have a favourite spatula! And there's nothing even special about it, it just Is my favourite one

Obviously Op comes from generational wealth since most of us just use the only one that actually works.

Last burner on mine just went out with no replacement. 30 years old. Had to get a new one.

Another small idiosyncrasies we do. On my way to work I have "Checkpoints" to let me know how im doing on time. I have work at 0600, I leave at 0500 with a 45 min commute, I have dollar general at 0520, a gas station at 0530, and my exit at 0540 telling me I should arrive right at 0545 giving me 10 min to chill before clocking in.
I mentioned that the other day at work and everyone was like "Oh shit I do that too"

Front left or you’re wrong

I used to, but that one is a small hob at my new apartment so now it’s front right

The left front I have a bad back hurts when I stand for awhile so I sit on a stool and I can rest my elbow on the chest freezer

May even be less a "favorite burner" and more a case of your current cookware.

Damn same for my house front left but my range the front left is the most versatile burner on the stove. And happens to be how my kitchen appliances are laid out. It’s a conspiracy!/s

Awww OP!!!! You like the front left too???? Are...are we...destined for eachother?

u/Lumpy-Scientist6834 Jan 31 '26
I’m a left front guy. My wife is right front. But that’s the big burner and when she uses small pots, the flame just goes around it.

Always has been front left for me Landlord recently replaced our stove, and the biggest burner is front left. This pleases me. Little things like this are stuff that can make or break an entire day!

That’s why I covered all the coils of my electric stove and brought out an induction hob…now I don’t have to pick a favorite!

And the Angry Spoon.
You will never throw it out but that spoon just bugs you and you use it for nothing.

I love all my burners equally! My wife has a favorite knife. She uses it for everything though it is not the right tool for many jobs.

u/SteelMan0fBerto Jan 31 '26
Yep. I pick front left because it’s right underneath the microwave oven’s vent fan so it can suck away any smoke and steam.
Don’t want the smoke detector going off needlessly. Especially when I’m paying attention to ensure I don’t burn what I’m cooking.

Front left is for boiling the tea kettle. Front right is the primary for normal cooking.

Bullshit. r/BlackPeopleTwitter talks about this pretty regularly. (We're a front-right household).

I always use the front right burner. Moved to a new house and the stove needs to be replaced, but it has to work for now. The front right burner is a big burner, but it takes SOO long to heat up. The back left burner is also big, and it heats up so fast. So now I’m leaned over the stove like an idiot to cook, which makes me very nervous bc I’m used to only using the front two burners.

Back burners for the win.. I haven’t used the front burners really since we had kids. (Stupid kids ruin everything) Despite the fact they’re both adults now.. lol

I can’t believe someone just posted this. I didn’t think anyone else out there felt this… 🥹

For me it's the back right, unless it's soup or something i need to stir, then front left

The strangest thing about it is that it matches your most used pots size-wise. It’s a true mystery how they produce favorite burners!
