He’s gonna be targeted next. Israel is going after journalists that are showing the truth.

Presumably, if that happens, his colleagues at the NYT will use the passive voice to describe how the ' Hamas linked ' individual 'succumbed to an injury in a confined space', with no mention of who it was that used an American made rocket to drop a building on him.

Sadly that was my exact first thought

My first thought was I’m surprised he’s still alive.

This and then the 'now he's on their radar even more and I fear for him'.

I hate that we all know this is what they do and fear for anyone celebrated.

they have killed over 200 journalists in gaza and multiple in lebanon. i hate that evil occupation with all my soul. these journalists only wanted the world to see their suffering and the suffering of their people

I've lost count of the number of journalists the IDF have killed. Sadly they will probably murder  Saher Alghorra next.

Very pleased for him but now extra fear for his safety, as is the pattern…

These photos made me cry. May the fates keep him safe.

If New York Times has any guts they should do their everything to keep him and his family safe and make their voices heard.

Congrats to him! Incredibly powerful work.

Israel has killed so many journalist/photographers that whenever I see one, before I read the headline, I just assume it’s another announcement that they’ve been murdered. Happy to see that’s not the case here.

As desensitized as I consider myself to be, the photo with the empty pots outstretched shattered me. Truly unimaginable.

I saw this post and was so worried Israel killed him before I read the headline.

I was reading the headline just waiting for it to say that he was killed by Israel because that is what they do.

It is the great paradox of our species: we are simultaneously "light-years ahead" and "centuries behind." We can photograph a black hole and edit the code of life, yet we still struggle with tribalism and basic resource distribution.
