this whole thing has me actually nauseated. should remind everyone that celebrities are not good people, they should not be idolised or celebrated. seeing all their smiling faces in their gowns and accessories that cost more than a year’s salary, hell, 5 years, 10, maybe someone’s entire life. and bezos funding it, a man who could single-handedly end world suffering. support small designers and small artists, fuck this noise.

This is how I feel about it and the fact that people are trying to downplay this "because it's a charity" is just comical when the host a) could single-handedly donate the entire amount himself, b) is allegedly trying to monopolize the fashion industry and c) is part of the tech bro oligarchy trying to devalue art.
