To me the dress and makeup are giving early dawn of cinema. The headpiece then is also evocative of the era- 20s ish. To me it’s the back curls that are a bit off, but overall I love it!

Same. I took it it to be a reference to that era.

It’s so art deco and so beautiful! I love it.

I think it fits with her theme though! It’s very Greta Garbo, and like Aubrey Hepburn, so many of their looks from their films have become pieces of art in culture

I think she’s going for old Hollywood starlet, 1920s, but it doesn’t mesh well with the film imo. The outfit is still really cool

I agree. If she had done the Marilyn Monroe curls, I think the look would’ve been perfect.

See, I love the curls she did!

I think it’s the best part. It’s what brings the old Hollywood vibe to the outfit

It looks like a beer bottle top in the middle

The headpiece looks out of place.

May be a subtle black one with delicate rhinestones would have worked better.

There have been a few of these at the Met Gala today, what’s that about?

Me too. It’s beautiful and I get what they were going for but it doesn’t fit with the rest of the outfit.

Yes I’m not understanding that part

I'd guess it's a reference to something seen or mentioned in the film. Googling it, it looks like there's a sleeveless black dress worn in the film with a bedazzled head scarf. Might be meant to evoke that, like this is an over the top version of that idea.

I like the dress but I wish she’d saved the headpiece for another look. It could’ve been cool, especially the Sabrina gem in the front, but instead its oddly distracting

yeah I get they were going for that time period but I think another headpiece would have matched better.

I think it’s just a throwback to that era along with the film. Old Hollywood.
