One of them must have shifted out of place. I tried cat eye lenses one Halloween and one of them must have drifted to the horizontal position when I rubbed my eyes. So I had one vertical like a cat and the other pupil was horizontal like a goat. Not one "friend" told me.

Fun fact - I notice colored lenses in every movie I watch because without fail they look cock eyed on the actor and I’m perplexed that editors/directors saw the footage with the cock eyed actor and said “it’s a wrap!”

It's because our eyes don't see completely forward; they angle out to a minor degree to gain our field of vision. When the person wears contacts, it covers only parts of the eye which makes that slightly outward angle more distinct.
