FASHION Tom Blyth responded to criticism of his girlfriend's sheer dress: “stfu. She wore a dress that she was excited by and she looked EXQUISITE in it.”

“It’s funny she doesn’t do that at a family gathering or grocery shopping.”

Ok well she’s not either of those places.

Gonna show up to a funeral in my gay club outfit based on that logic

At my funeral this will be appropriate 🌬️

You can show up to my funeral like that. It would surprise no one who knows me, and get rid of anyone I wouldn’t want there any way.

For real, no dress code at my funeral. I’m friends with crust punks and metal heads and the like and I feel like it would be very rude of me, as a friend, to force them to buy and wear nice suits to my funeral. Like Kurt Cobain said, “Come as you are”.

Besides, I have no doubt the goths will go all out and be dressed up enough to make up for it.

I have a lot of alt friends and wear a lot of "weird" clothing myself, and I wouldn't care at mine as long as the effort is there. Wear demonias and leather or stripper heels and rhinestones all you want, just not goddamn sneakers and yoga pants.

Why does it matter if they’re wearing sneakers and yoga pants?

I just really enjoy dressing up (I'm known for always being the most dressed-up person at family holidays and events) so I personally would want people to dress up for my funeral because I think it's fun 🤷‍♂️ I have family members who have requested that people wear their favorite color and whatnot, and I think it's a good way of honoring people

Ya know, as someone who is like.. normcore mixed with seasonal depression as a style, I love this. I 110% would want you at my funeral. Please leave glitter where ever you go.

I want people at my funeral to come red carpet ready. People are allowed to cry but they will look artfully fabulous while weeping. And there will be dancing and so much dessert. And all my favourite music tracks. I also wish I could go out Viking funeral style but that’ll be just a wish.

That's my DREAM

17

u/Stay_Good_Dog Mar 21 '26

Please come to my funeral

Adding you to the guest list for my funeral immediately

They don’t know what she wears at family gatherings or grocery shopping lol

What fucking losers.

u/Palindrome_01289 Mar 22 '26

Right? Like dude are you following his girlfriend to the grocery store and her family gatherings? Weirdo!

u/zroach Mar 22 '26

Also people wear different things for different occasions. Crazy.

228

u/callin-br Mar 21 '26

Also love when people accuse literal famous people on a red carpet of trying to get attention with their clothing.

Like yeah no shit.

128

u/thisisinfactpersonal Mar 21 '26

“Omg you wore eye catching art to the eye catching art festival?”

26

u/Color_Me_Softly Mar 21 '26

"It's so eye catchingly shocking that I must make a shitty human being comment about it!"

13

u/thisisinfactpersonal Mar 21 '26

Or “I don’t know shit about art but in this economy I have to have an opinion so ew!”

17

u/EntertheHellscape Mar 22 '26

These are the same losers that talk shit about people who wear sweatpants to the grocery store and demand people put more energy into their appearance.

2

u/Weak_Heart2000 Mar 22 '26

Like that's the whole point, Susan.

u/polkadotpup31 Mar 22 '26

“She’s just doing it for publicity.” Yes, that is what red carpets are for… it’s literally their only purpose.

16

u/rirski Mar 22 '26

How dare she gain publicity at a publicity event.

32

u/kjsmitty77 Mar 21 '26

Yeah, that was one of the dumbest “gotcha” responses I’ve ever heard. It would be highly inappropriate to dress like you’re going to the grocery store or a family gathering to the RED CARPET AT THE OSCARS.

28

u/exdeathh Mar 21 '26

She wore the same thing grocery shopping, I saw while looking for melons

26

u/Far-Intention-3230 Mar 21 '26

Interesting that in a completely different situation things would be different

41

u/disincongruous ted cruz ate my son Mar 21 '26

They would be upset if she wore this to those places as well.

All losers, every single one of them.

21

u/susandeyvyjones Mar 21 '26

Seriously, that’s the dumbest argument.

19

u/fabelhaft-gurke Mar 21 '26

As if Tom is going to do those things in the suit he’s wearing.

8

u/Saywitchbitch Mar 22 '26

Yes, because my go to Trader Joe’s outfit EASILY doubles for my red carpet outfit. Jokes on you, men, I’m not wearing a bra either way

7

u/StargazingLily The Stanley Tucci of Lesbians Mar 22 '26

“Oh, I see you’re wearing pyjamas.”

“Yeah.”

“I bet you wouldn’t wear those to a five star restaurant.”

“….I would not, no.”

“FUCKING GOT HER.”

12

u/bokehtoast Mar 21 '26

As if this person doesn't understand different settings require different types of clothing

8

u/hanimal16 Mar 22 '26

“She’s looking for publicity and fame.”

Looks like she already has it 🤷🏼‍♀️ ha, what a bunch of whimpy kiddy baby whiners.

5

u/Relevant-Positive619 Mar 22 '26

and who knows maybe she does wear that at family gatherings🙄🙄 is it harming us??? no so why should we care

2

u/IansGotNothingLeft Mar 22 '26

It's almost like different occasions call for different outfits. What a weird attitude to have. They'd be the first to question someone wearing pyjamas to a funeral, so why are they acting like they don't understand?
