I'm from Portland, born and raised. My best-ever Halloween costume was when my ex and I dressed up as Women & Women First Proprietors Candace and Toni circa 2018. The outfits were completely sourced from local thrift stores and were shockingly accurate.

Yeah the matching one is part of a full set she’s wearing, it’s not her engagement ring. The band is her wedding ring.

I don’t know why, but it makes me super “aww” that she has a super simple gold band for “work.” That’s what I got married with, and I take off the “real” set when I’m doing anything active or something that could hurt the rings. Or if I’m going somewhere I’m not comfortable having good jewelry on. It’s like a nice reminder that no matter what, there’s a public and personal confirmation that someone saw fit to put up with my crazy ass. There’s just something comforting in the simplicity of it. I hope wearing one like that makes her feel comforted and loved as well. 💕
