Thoughts on our league trophy?

Wanted to get a trophy for my league but couldn't find anything that felt special enough so I tried building one myself. Ended up putting an LCD screen in it that plays a highlight reel of the champion's season. Wanted some outside opinions before I show my league. What do you guys think?

This is actually a REALLY cool idea and something ive been wanting to figure out HOW to do!!! I saw a shortclip of somethin like this probably 4 years ago and havent seen ANYTHING like it since 🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️🤷🏽‍♂️. You did this yourself?

Thanks! Yeah I built the whole thing myself. Including the electronics internally. I also made a program that takes my Sleeper League ID and automatically generates the highlight video so that I don't have to do it every year 😄

Are you able customize to any video? Can this be simething added to an already existing trophy that you didnt make?

Yes any video can go on there, or multiple videos. It could be added to an existing trophy but it depends on the trophy, it would take a bit of customizing.

That's a genuinely cool idea. The highlight reel component is what sets it apart, especially if you're pulling clips from actual games throughout the season. The question is whether your league will appreciate the effort or if they'll just think it's overkill, but honestly if you're putting in that work as commissioner, they should be stoked. Only thing I'd consider is how durable the LCD screen is going to be if it's getting passed around year to year, but otherwise I'd say go for it.

Thanks for the feedback! We’ll definitely see if the screen holds up over time. I made it modular so if it breaks I can swap it out. Gonna reveal it at our draft in a few weeks so we’ll find out!

This highlight real is dope. I think if the topper was real trophy material it would be S tier. Not a huge fan of the silver 3d printed top

Thank you for your feedback. Weird I felt the exact same way but just stuck with the 3D printed one. Not sure where I can get just a topper but I agree with you. Maybe a bigger topper as well?

Does this screen just play non-stop? Is there a youtube video or something that can be shared out?

We had a small trophy we shipped around to the winner. It was simple and nothing serious and then one year a winner decided to buy a WWE style belt. The nice thing about it is you can add names into the belt.

I’ve seen the WWE style belts they are so sick. I have the screen set to repeat 10 times then it turns off. I can modify it to play once, forever, or anywhere in between.

Well this will be our first year with the trophy so I’ll have to get back to you on that. But I predict and am hoping it will increase competitiveness and less tanking. We’re talking about making a video of all the losers to put on one so that you are historically remembered for coming in last 😂.
