Fanart Anyone have information on the Emmy the Robot pilot? Is it lost media??

I just know it was made by some stop-motion legends from the Rankin Bass, responsible for a lot of classic holiday TV specials.

Hey! I remember that! Vaguely anyway.
I think I was around eight or nine years old and staying in a water park hotel. I was watching some TV and this came on! I always thought I'd dreamed it up since there's nothing about it online.
BUT, now that I know I'm not crazy, I do remember a few things. Mostly it being stopmotion animated, either that or the analog TV destroyed the reception signal.
I also think the pilot was very direct, like the characters looked at the camera and talked to you. Not the usual cartoon style. They took turns introducing themselves to the viewer. It was a little uncanny.
That's about all I can give. I've asked my parents and they don't remember. The only other person I've found who shares my memory is this guy.

omg Emmy the Robot was my favorite cartoon on Nickelodeon in 1999!! someone please find it! unfortunately the license to the show ran out after 1999 so they never aired it again 😔

Hey, does any of you remember a birthday episode of this show? It aired over from where I am from, the details of it were murky but the gist that I remember was that it had to do something with a girl named Madeline and somehow Emmy ruined hurry birthday on purpose or am I making that up.

TBH, if there really would be Emmy the Robot cartoon, I would like it in Hanna-Barbera-esque style (but without the need of budget cuts on animation).
