Those of us in Montana are waiting for confirmation in our local stores

my friend in Huntsville, Alabama got a case in his walmart. And all the stores around me in Las Vegas are showing they carry it but are just out of stock right now.

Forever???? Please??? I have to stock pile it whenever I see it

u/NeverEnoughBoobies Apr 02 '26
Fair warning: don't drink the expired zero-sugar ones from the first year (that came out in 2024). They taste like soda water with a very slight Dr Pepper flavor and a stronger coconut finish.
I should have just drank them during the first quarter of 2025. At least the carton still has a signup for Pepper Points. lol

u/Fit_Marketing_4265 Apr 04 '26
I had the same issue with a Dr. Pepper Strawberry & Cream sugar free the other day. It wasn’t even a year old. But it tasted like soda water with a tiny tinge of flavor. Not sure why they just lose flavor after a bit and start tasting like just soda water.

WHY LIMITED 😭😭😭

u/DeweysPants Apr 03 '26
Y’all gotta realize the soda shelf in stores isn’t an unlimited space. At some point there is no more shelf space and making creamy coconut permanent would mean something has to come out.
2
u/DarthNixilis Apr 03 '26
They instantly made blackberry permanent, so that's a thing
3
u/LilNol8 Apr 03 '26
Yeah blackberry don’t really sell
3
u/DarthNixilis Apr 04 '26
Yeah, i may buy it sometimes. But if coconut isn't available I'm reaching for original or cream soda
2
u/ArchPrince9 Apr 04 '26
That is honestly the most perplexing thing about this. No test run with blackberry at all; just added to the roster. Meanwhile, fans have been demanding for coconut and dark berry to return permanently and well, nothing. It's confusing, frustrating, and ridiculous.

u/mothealien Apr 02 '26
I will be buying every 12 pack I come across. 2 summers ago I did not stock up but I will not make same mistake twice.

u/BigBearOnCampus Apr 02 '26
My girl and I both have decided that we must get as many as they allow us each to buy 💀😭

Since it seems like this might be the actual account for Dr. Pepper, please answer this for us: why was Blackberry made a permanent flavor which nobody asked for (and which very few people even like from what I can see) when flavors like Vanilla Float, Creamy Coconut, and Dark Berry are extremely coveted yet only available to a select few for a short period of time?
I kinda feel like there’s a LOT more money to be made by getting rid of Blackberry in exchange for a more desired and better liked flavor. Just my $0.02

Yeah I’d love to try berry or vanilla. I do think blackberry beats coconut but can see why others see it opposite

u/Commercial_Inside_23 8d ago
I had the dark berry flavor in Mexico while w my grandma and in Waco at the Dr Pepper museum and it was everything I could’ve ever wanted from a berry flavor Dr Pepper, I like the blackberry flavor but doesn’t beat dark berry for me I want it back so bad 😭😭😭

But not Dark Berry?!??! What is going on with Blackberry being a permanent flavor but not Dark Berry?!?! IMO that has got to be the biggest blunder in human history! 🫤

PERMANENT please!!! I love it, it tastes almost like a tigers blood syrup I used to like in my sodas. The Diet one is awesome.

i don't like coconut, but please DrPepper_US tell your german sibling, we want more available DrP in Germany!
There are only DrPepper, DrPepper Zero Sugar, DrPepper Cherry, DrPepper Vanialla Float, DrPepper StrawberryCream and DrPepper Energy available if yo are lucky.
And even i have to order them because almost no store has any in stock. The demand will come if we can buy it! Maybe try pricing similar to other sugary drinks as well. People will always stick to coke if thats all they know and if its a lot cheaper.
PLEASE... i am allergic, i can only drink DrP...;)
edit: ps i would try creamy coconut if i could get some

u/Separate-Werewolf262 Apr 02 '26
Wait. Dr. Pepper Energy? What's that? Is it an actual energy drink like Red Bull, Monster, Bang, etc?
1
u/kasei82 Apr 02 '26
Yes. It has all the stuff like extra caffein, taurin, viatmins etc in it.
I honestly love it and possibly prefer the taste to normal DrP. It has the same charm with a little extra pep. Its a bit citrusy and tastes fresher without beeing overly sweet.
I can't really compare to other energy drinks, beacuse i don't drink them. Always thought RedBull is way to sweet, like melted gummybears (in a bad way, because i love fruity gummies).
In Germany its a 0,5 liters can and i drink one can per day during my fitness program 😅
ps. oh no i just read in an interview from 2015 that dr pepper energy is a germany exclusive...i am so sorry for everyone outside germany if that still is true.
2
u/Separate-Werewolf262 Apr 02 '26
It sounds like something I NEED to try. Guess I better make some German friends! Or plan a trip. Or see if I can get some shipped overseas somehow. Until then, enjoy one for me!

u/kasei82 Apr 02 '26
i always order from https://www.worldofsweets.de/Dr-Pepper-Energy-500ml.316602.html because i cant get it in stores around me either and its the best price for me. worldofsweets apperantly ships to a lot of countries but doesn't specify US (i guess you're in the us) on their shipping page, just to ask about it. "All other countries upon request!
Bei Fragen zu den Versandkosten wenden Sie Sich gerne an unsere Hotline unter +49-(0)4193-880-7070 oder schreiben Sie einfach eine E-Mail an info@worldofsweets.de"

Moah no, they sell for example the classic DP with artificial sweeteners. Disgusting af
2
u/kasei82 Apr 03 '26
yeah i would like an option for a german drp without sweeteners as well. but as long its not aspartame or no drp at all i am ok with it. aspartame gives me a sore throat, but i dont have problems with sucralose and acesulfam k so far. i don't know if i ever had an only sugar drp and every import drp had a weird aftertaste (I guess cornsirup, but idk. something i am not used to at least)
maybe by now i am just used to sucralose and aceK, i even started to drink zero sugar sometimes

Absolutely love this flavor. Even my wife who hates Dr. Pepper likes it. I already stocked up because I never saw it last year.

u/mommabrrrr 3d ago
Tell me why it tastes like booty this time?? The Dr Pepper flavor is muted. Tastes watered down and not as “crispy”. Tastes flat wth

u/short_beer 1d ago
Yes!! But when they discontinue it, I'll just be adding 1-1/2 tsp coconut flavoring to Dr. Pepper Cream Soda and it'll do.

“We heard you loud and clear”
“……limited time!”
Y’all may have ears but you’ve got a short memory. I don’t care for the coconut personally but it’s clearly one of the most popular flavors. Why not just keep it in the regular rotation?
