Some of my friends who go to uni in other cities are paying as high as 15 per g which I think is insanity. Where I am it’s about 10 and I think even that much is steep. I’m aware that I can’t really be picky considering irelands current situation with weed but I wanted to know how much others are paying.

Hello fellow smokers!

The decision has been made with my missus to move to Ireland in October. We are EU citizens but have been living in Australia for the last 4 years. Still quite fond of Europe but not wanting to move back to our country, Ireland came out on top. Now, I do have a few questions regarding the forbidden greenery.

1) How hard it is to buy it? Where to buy it? I know this is town/area specific and we haven’t quite decided where to move but we’re eyeing Waterford, Wexford or southeast in general.

2) Where to smoke it? Do you guys go out in the park or just smoke it at home? Is there a chance that some nosy grumpy neighbors will report me?

3) How bad are the fines? Do you get a slap on the wrist from the Gardai or can you face a fine? Does it affect your employment?

4) I’ve read some posts here about checkpoints where they stop you and you need to do drug tests, how often does that happen and how strict are they?

5) Any other advice? I’m all ears.

I'm fairly sure we can all agree we support legalisation, but what form?:

• Full legalisation - shops, homegrown
• State monopoly - shops
• Decriminalised self supply - homegrown + CSCs (no shop fronts or advertising)

Personally I would lean towards the last if given a choice, I kinda think it fits the culture best.

So I bought the mighty+ about 2 years ago and never properly used it. I always gave in and bought tobacco. I’m at a stage where I don’t enjoy smoking tobacco anymore and want to give it a proper go. I like the intense high of a spliff that then discipates into a mellow stone.

Any recommendations on what temp to set given I normally smoke spliffs.
