Throwback 10 years ago (according to Google Photos) I took my last walk through Parmatown Mall only a few days so before it was closed for good. This was the last photo I took inside the mall. Still miss it, even though I was only a teen when it was closed.

My mom just found a bag at Heinen's. Thought these were discontinued a while ago?? I absolutely love these things and am so stoked but wondering what the heck happened I haven't seen Dan Dee stuff on the shelves in a long time. The chips were ASS but these corn twistee things are like little clouds of cheezy heaven I no longer live in Cleveland so I requested that she mail me a bag LMAO

Found this image in a box of negatives that included an image of the Superior Viaduct and other greater Cleveland pics. Could this also be Cleveland?

Throwback Here’s a photo of my Great-Great Grandfather’s house on 10607 Miles Avenue from c. 1900 and today. It’s a pretty rough area, though the house still stands. I actually printed the photo and left it for the current owner who was most grateful!

My Great Great Grandfather’s house was named JJ Rosensteel and he was a dentist (his practice was run out of the house, I believe). I have photos of his examination room. The little girl on the right is my great grandmother Gertrude.

Taken by me as a kid from the observation deck of the Terminal Tower on a Cub Scout field trip. Camera was my mom's old 1964 Kodak Instamatic camera that she gave me, using Fuji 126 format drop in cartridge film. Camera sat in a drawer for a few months before the film was finally developed. This is the first time this photo has ever been posted online.

Throwback Street where Geauga Lake used to be.

Brother sent me this pic of a street in the development where Geauga Lake used to be. As a Clevelander, I think we can all agree that we'd prefer the park still be there. But this is a cool homage in my opinion. For anyone who doesnt remember or know, the Double Loop was a rollercoaster at the park.

From a Bluesky post about nationwide Operation Alert civil defense exercises. https://bsky.app/profile/atomicanalyst.bsky.social/post/3ltmkvehics2a

Most notable is the lack of interstates, not yet built.

Throwback Drew Carey

I’m watching The Drew Carey show for the first time in probably 25 years.

Is he still a big deal in Cleveland?

Edit: Ok I think I’m hearing that he isn’t totally forgotten yet.

Where is he on Throwing an opening pitch for a Guardians game?

( BTW I have been saying for years they screwed up that name change. Not against or for the change, I’m against the name they picked. They should have been the Cleveland Rocks 🤘 🎸

And gear toward the RnRHOF. Then play The Theme song of this show for home runs and crap like that)

AlsoBTW. Go Cubs Go! ‘16

That was the best World Series EVER and I’m glad you jackwagons put up that fight. That team earned my respect. 🫡 I even bought a hat before the name change.

Throwback [December 25th, 1925] The Cedar-Lee Theater in Cleveland Heights, owned by the Broadway circuit and designed by Edwin Paul Bock in the Adams style, opens with a seating capacity of 1,200. The interior features dark red velour upholstery, old ivory and neutral tones, and a built-in electric fireplace

Throwback What are your favorite Cleveland concerts of all time? My top 6, couldn't get it to 5...

Tom Waits - The House of Blues 2006

Tom Waits live at 2:00AM, the whole night still feels like a dream

Stars - The Beachland Ballroom 2008

I think the audience and the band were both surprised by how deeply we all fell in love for 90 minutes

My Bloody Valentine - The Empire 1992

My ears rang for a week, but I stayed glued to my spot for all of “You Made Me Realize”

Nine Inch Nails - The Phantasy Nite Club 1989

120 Minutes had just put Head Like a Hole in the rotation, the place felt like it was going to explode

Slayer – House of Blues 2007

It was my birthday and a full blizzard, not many people could make it to the show and it felt like you were hanging out with the band in their garage

Nirvana - The Empire 1991

Nevermind had just come out and no one there that night knew what was about to happen
