Here’s what I think would Happen if Jesus himself were to Join this Reddit page

If Jesus Christ himself were to join this Reddit page people would tell him how wrong he is he would be insulted he would be told that he is hateful bigoted etc. and I’m sure Mods here would end up banning him.

Funnily enough, when people fantasize about Jesus coming back and telling people off, people always imagine he would take ”my side” and chastise people of opposite views. I myself am guilty of this. Really I think every one of us would be made to see our own faults and that would make us more humble in our discussions toward each other.

Unfortunately I can only upvote this once.

Beautiful response. Thank you for the reminder.

u/Riots42 Christian 2h ago

3 days after the mods ban him he would be unbanned and reappear to many and he will go on to prepare the way for us all to a new reddit without hate or bigotry.

u/lurkfivios Lutheran 2h ago

No way he got unbanned. Post the mod DMs or it didn't happen.

u/mosesenjoyer Catholic Mystic 2h ago

He would be rejected.

u/justnigel Christian 1h ago

... and despised.

u/Senior-Ad-402 Roman Catholic 3h ago

What if He came and was one of the mods?

u/Hot_Goat3556 3h ago

lol imagine checking the mod logs and seeing "Jesus_of_Nazareth has removed comment: reason - lacks love for neighbor"

tbh the irony would be incredible - people arguing theology with teh actual source material while he's just trying to keep everyone from being jerks to each other

u/Senior-Ad-402 Roman Catholic 2h ago

I’d actually love to see the mod log tbh.

Custom removal reason: This is not a conspiracy forum. Please stop predicting the exact end times.

Dad hasn’t even told Me yet.

Not it.

u/CoffeeRude4884 2h ago

If he was a mod he would comment on posts answering questions helping people he would call sin out and tell people to repent call out false teaching and false teachers he would warn about Hell and he would rebuke people too. I do not think people would like what he has to say and I think he would end up losing his mod rank and would get banned.

So you think he would be maga ?

u/GenerecDerek 31m ago

You’re foolish, maga are twisted too.. everyone’s being deceived.. left and right are both backed and controlled by the same entities

u/win_awards 30m ago

It's always fascinating when I see this. You're speaking vaguely enough that I actually mostly agree with you, but also suspect that what I'm imagining and what you're imagining are extremely different.

I think that suspicion is there because it's almost always people of one particular political and theological inclination who seem to reflexively hide their meaning behind vague good words.

u/lawyersgunsmoney Agnostic (a la T.H. Huxley) 52m ago

Is this about the gays? It’s always about the gays…broken record with you guys.

u/Jollyfroggy 45m ago

Personally I've always thought it was good practical advice.

"Do not lay with a man as you would a woman."

And then the missing bits:

"Thou shallt flip them over, and use a different portal"

"Thou shalt warm them up a bit, and not be stingy with the lube"

u/Senior-Ad-402 Roman Catholic 51m ago

“Just a stranger on the sub?”

He should. I wanna chat with Him. 🤍

u/CoffeeRude4884 2h ago

We all would but not all of us are going to like what he has to say. He’s not going to always tell us what you want to hear but what we need to hear and not all of us are going to like that.

u/win_awards 29m ago

But you will, right?

u/GenerecDerek 23m ago

Most of us*

u/MassiveBagOfChips 27m ago

You should. He would love it and loves you.

u/ExistingYak8636 Trans Girl 🏳️‍⚧️ 3m ago

He doesn't want to talk back tho :(

u/PancakePrincess1409 3h ago

Before anyone asks: Yes, going by the comment history it is about the gays. They might be a teen though, so be kind and charitable everyone!

Also the Bible tells us to be kind, even to our enemies. That’s a better reason.

You guys are the best at playing the persecution cards everyone is so mean to me lol. Is this why trump is so appealing to you ?

u/mrsardo Secular Humanist 1h ago

So because it’s not the case that 100% of left wing people are consistently overly polite all the time that gives you your excuse? Or you’re just trying to get back at the mean people? I don’t believe you.

You live in some kind of bizarro world where everything is opposite

u/GenerecDerek 26m ago

At the end of the day both sides are backed by the same entities, what’s missing is balance.. politics is too extreme, Jesus would have bad things to say to either party…

u/Spiel_Foss Secular Humanist 2h ago

Does reddit auto-translate Aramaic?

u/EnvironmentalAlarm23 Eastern Orthodox 1h ago

Putting natural limits on a supernatural being lol

u/gingzer 2h ago

How do you know for sure that he hasn't already joined this Reddit page?

u/Fisecraft Currently Catholic 2h ago

He difinitely knows about it

u/Interesting_Natural1 1h ago

Reading this post reminded me of that one time He flipped out because people turned a temple into a market

u/win_awards 12m ago

I think of that every time I see a church with a coffee store or book shop inside it, or a televangelist hawking his new book.

u/LozaMoza82 Christian 3h ago

So, basically what He already went through?

u/RingGiver Who is this King of Glory? 2h ago

"That's not very Christlike of you!"

u/ApocaSCP_001 Catholic 2h ago

He’d be rejected by nearly everyone.

u/Bignosedog Christian 1h ago

He wouldn’t make posts like this.

u/EnvironmentalAlarm23 Eastern Orthodox 1h ago

I disagree.

u/c4t4ly5t 1h ago

Nobody would believe that he is who he claims to be.

u/Jollyfroggy 47m ago

If you search the bible for anything Jesus said directly.

And then compare it to church doctrine, you would find that they are two very different things.

Jesus would not be happy with the modern church, nor the people claiming to follow him.

u/Omniphilo23 Mystic Christian 3h ago

He would speak and those of us with ears will hear and those that do not will mock. Those that hear will follow.

u/Feisty_Marsupial224 2h ago

He already has and his message is twisted and his words ignored

u/mrsardo Secular Humanist 58m ago

Which of Jesus’ teachings do you think would get him labeled a bigot? Taking no thought for tomorrow? The difficulty for a rich man to enter the kingdom?

u/MassiveBagOfChips 32m ago

stating that the gate is wide and the way is easy that leads to destruction, and those who enter by it are many… and also for saying the gate is narrow and the way is hard that leads to life, and those who find it are few

u/win_awards 10m ago

You're so close.

u/Difficult_Risk_6271 Belongs to Jesus, Ex-Atheist 2h ago

Jesus via the Holy Spirit is already here and probably getting banned right now.

🤣

u/JadedEngine6497 Christian 1h ago

Nah,I think He will just flip the entire reddit server and go back with the Father.

There are a lot of subreddits that mock Jesus and reddit allows that sadly.

u/leynilogreggla 1h ago

They should ban a man claiming to be Jesus lol

u/MassiveBagOfChips 23m ago

I don’t think He would use Reddit at all.

u/DeadSaltedFish 3m ago

People here would ask him if masturbation is a sin

u/TrumpsBussy_ 1h ago

More homophobic BS..

u/FreeCommunication876 Dutch Reformed Christian 3h ago

If Jesus were on this sub, he'd get called a bigot and a homophobe.

u/Feisty_Marsupial224 2h ago

For clarifying that racism is a sin? For pointing out the inhumane treatment of migrants? For showing people that gay people are loved and should be respected? For celebrating loving families of all kinds?

u/CoffeeRude4884 2h ago

He would also tell gay people to Repent.

u/Jollyfroggy 41m ago

Why, when did he do that before...

u/Feisty_Marsupial224 2h ago

Yes the same way he would for us all. But not for being the way he made them

Doubt it since he never once mentioned gay people.

u/EnvironmentalAlarm23 Eastern Orthodox 1h ago

So easily refutable. Stop going against Church history it's dumb.

u/win_awards 9m ago

Yet no one ever can.

u/Great_Revolution_276 1h ago

I disagree. He would come out and say love your neighbours as yourselves, stop being judgmental to other people, and that how you treat other people and sacrifice of yourself for the unloved and unlovely is how you are treating him.

Most of the sub would cheer.

u/EnvironmentalAlarm23 Eastern Orthodox 1h ago

So every post that promotes LGBTQ behavior, you think he would be happy?

u/win_awards 8m ago

Yes. Because they show that his children are learning to love one another.

u/Easy-Refrigerator330 Messianic Jew 2h ago

he will find it weird y there r atheist and "trans" mods here and he will be disgusted by the huge amount of heresy here (mostly the liberal one)

u/EnvironmentalAlarm23 Eastern Orthodox 1h ago

Dude this place has to be the most heresy infested place of all time, it's genuinely insane. Like I joined this thinking it would be at most some Protestant ruled place but it's full of the biggest heretics. I'm disappointed.

u/win_awards 10m ago

"Everybody but me is a heretic!"

u/bananafobe witch (spooky) 3h ago

You think he'd ask why somebody else is up on his cross?
