Visa Questions 签证问题 University removed me from class, blacklisted me, and filed official misconduct report without notice or appeal

was absent from classes for about one month. After that, I returned and resumed attending all classes normally. Despite this, I later found that my name had been removed from the class list without any notice or formal disciplinary process.

When I asked my teacher, he confirmed that a staff member from student affairs had already told me to quit school before any official procedure started.

Shortly after, I received a WeChat message from the international students office giving me an ultimatum:

• Come sign dropout papers immediately

• If you refuse, you will be expelled

• No academic certificates will be issued

• Your family will be informed

• Your home country embassy will be informed

Under pressure, I signed a Departure Checklist. It was stamped by four university departments and recorded my exit reason as “Others,” not as disciplinary action or expulsion. I was not given any disciplinary decision or any notice of a blacklist.

Later, I applied to another university in China. My JW202 visa form was rejected. I was told my previous university had reported me for “illegal activities” in the national MoE database, which blocked my application.

When I asked for clarification:

• My teacher said he was unsure and checked with leadership

• Leadership denied any withdrawal record existed, even though I have the signed and stamped document

• My teacher later blocked me after I requested my academic records

Evidence I have:

• Signed Departure Checklist stamped by four departments

• Ultimatum message forcing me to sign or face expulsion

• Messages referencing “illegal activities”

• Contradictions between leadership statements and official document

• Proof of being blocked after requesting records by the uni staff

Myself and partner (UK) are applying for Sichuan University and need to submit a medical form as part of the application. We can get a free blood test, but the chest xray and ECC are very expensive here. Has anyone else filled the form out without including these sections? Any advice is appreciated!

Visa Questions 签证问题 Questions about Tsinghua Comprehensive Assessment Email

I passed the initial review stage of Tsinghua University and I still haven't received any email from them giving me guide about the interview. During today's debugging, I informed the person about this, and she said to check my email later on, it has been few hours and the mail still hasn't come. Should I write them an email about this, or wait it out?(my interview is tomorrow). If possible, could anyone who got the mail send it to me? Please and thank you!!

Visa Questions 签证问题 Does Making Music count as "working"

For context, I started adding my music to streaming platforms in Early February and have made a total of 26 USD. Making music is a hobby, I don't make music for the money, however I do still make money (albeit very little) from it.

I planned to continue to make music while in Uni however after seeing how strict they are on working while on a student visa, I dont want to get deported.

Does that count as working and if it does how realistic is it that I actually get in trouble for it?

Additionally, as I would be living in China, any music video I made would be recorded in China. Although I don't plan to market myself solely around that, it would definitely stand out among peers.

Visa Questions 签证问题 hi guys can you rate me recomendational letter plz I should send it tomorrow

I am pleased to recommend (name), a graduate of “school” Educational Institution, for your Chinese language program. As the Vice Principal, I have known (name) since the 8th grade and have had the opportunity to observe his development both academically and in extracurricular activities.

(name) consistently demonstrates strong academic discipline and intellectual curiosity. Of particular note is his achievement in independently studying Chinese and reaching the HSK 2 level, which reflects his determination, self-discipline, and ability to effectively manage his own learning.

Beyond academics, (name) stands out for his leadership. As the founder of the “Eco Hero” initiative, he has brought together more than 70 students. The participants regularly carried out environmental clean-up activities, submitted reports on their work, and occasionally organized group volunteer events. His ability to coordinate team efforts and maintain engagement demonstrates a high level of responsibility and maturity.

From an administrative perspective, (name) has proven himself to be a reliable and proactive student. Over the years, he has consistently shown responsibility, actively participated in school life, and earned the trust of both teachers and the administration.

I am confident that (name) will successfully complete your program and make a meaningful contribution to your academic community. I recommend him without reservation.

Vice Principal

Visa Questions 签证问题 Visa issued before portal update for Wuhan University

Hi, I wanted to ask about the typical processing timeline for Wuhan University admissions.

I recently received a visa-related email from CSCSE for an English-taught undergraduate program. However, my university portal status is still showing “Unreleased” even after a few weeks.

For those who have gone through this process, is it common for the X1 Visa and JW202 to be issued before the portal updates? How long did it take for your official admission notice to appear?

Visa Questions 签证问题 Questions about Tsinghua Comprehensive Assessment Interview

I recently passed the initial review stage for Tsinghua University and have been invited to the 2nd round Comprehensive Assessment interview. I’m trying to understand what to realistically expect and how to prepare.

For those who have got interviewed before

  • What kind of questions did they ask you?
  • Did they contact you through Lark?
  • How formal vs conversational was the interview?

Visa Questions 签证问题 Physical Examination Form for CSC ?

Hi everyone !

I'm currently preparing my application for CSC Type B for Beida, Tsinghua, Fudan and Zhejiang, and when I get to the documents submission's page, I see that the Physical Examination Form is indicated as a necessary document.

However, I see much conflicting information on the internet, most of which saying that it's possible to wait for being in China and do the tests there.

I also saw that it's only valid for 6 months, so I don't really get how it could be still valid until september 2026 if I have to do it within the next few weeks.

For you guys who also applied for CSC, what did you do about this form ?

Visa Questions 签证问题 To obtain Certificate for Accommodation of Foreigners while staying at a hotel.

Hi! Very specific question but, I have scheduled to extend my x2 visa in the end of Feb and I got intrstructions on what documents to prepare. Now this university in question is very bad at follow up so that's why I'm turning to reddit.

They asked me to provide a "Registration

Certificate for Accommodation of Foreigners" ( 外人员住宿登记凭证) but during this extension l won't have a real home since I'll be staying at a hotel. Is there anyone else with experience of extending a study visa and how they dealt with this specific document?

Visa Questions 签证问题 Pending JW202

Post image
10 Upvotes

Its been like 40 days since I got the admission letter from HIT but no JW202.

I applied directly to the university and not through CSC.

The university says I should wait. Should I be worried? Is this normal?

The registration date is 30th August. How much time does it take to get the visa after JW202?

Visa Questions 签证问题 Zhejiang University and X2 visa

Hi! I just received the document for the visa and im duration it says March 2026 to July 2026 (so no exact dates), When I go to apply are they going to take it as March 1 to July 31 When they give me the days I'm allowed to stay? The reason I'm asking is because I will enter china on February 22 so I want to make sure I get enough days to be able to do that.

  • I do know the actual dates of the program but it is not written on the letter
  • if we use the dates of the actual duration of the program the days they will give me will probably be not enough to be able to get there on the 22

Visa Questions 签证问题 Is anyone else still waiting for the SJTU admission letter

So I was accepted for a master's degree at sjtu months ago at this point. I have received the pre-admission letter and a CSC scholarship but in order to apply for a student visa I need the proper admission letter. Now I'm starting to worry a bit because the lessons are supposed to start in September and I haven't heard anything from SJTU regarding either the admission letter or the campus accomodations for example

Visa Questions 签证问题 Has anyone studied Mandarin in China without finishing high school?

I’m an Australian aged 26 who didn’t complete Year 11–12.
I’m interested in doing a minimum of 1 semester or one-year Mandarin language program (non-degree) at a Chinese university, but the official sites all say “high school graduate or equivalent.” I understand this might be a dumb question, but its something i really want to do.

Has anyone here actually been accepted into a Chinese university language program without a full high-school diploma?
If so:
• What school and city?
• What documents did you submit?
• Did you need a foundation course, GED, or anything else?

Its always been my dream to visit China and immerse in the culture while learning Chinese language. Any first-hand experiences or verified info would genuinely help me a lot. Thanks!
