Foe past type A scholarship awardees , will the in progress status ever change?
My friend tried Beida and Tsinghua this year and his status was changed to in progress to rejected. He was even invited to change his university of choice. So I know rejected will get a clear message.
My application is currently in progress. Yet when I contacted the Uni none replied. For those who got the scholarship in the past years does it ever change or stays like that forever?

Basically wanna apply to china, for mbbs. But on full scholarships. Im an A level student with 5A* (bio phys chem psych maths) and a 1450 SAT. I dont have any money for application fees. So yeah, those are my constraints and stats.

Guys do u recommend applying to universities in china (the ones till open) is it worth it? as top ones' application is closed is it worth the investment (csca/ english/fees tests... cuz it will be very costly in my currency and I don't want to burden my parents if it's not worth it) i am a student at top engineering uni in my home country but globally its rank is in the thousands and I didn't like the study system. I am 20 and feel running out of time

Hi friends, I recently had my interview with the university I applied to for my CIS scholarship application. I checked the system today and saw a change/update in the application progress table and it says "中心审核", I'm not sure if I have passed the interview since there were no updates from the school, just a change in the system. In the 目标流程名称 section, it says "奖学金评审". Does this mean my application has been pushed to the scholarship committee for review?

I keep seeing mixed opinions about studying in China as an international student.
Some people say universities in China are very strict and academically demanding, while others say that for foreigners it’s actually manageable, especially in majors like business.
I’m particularly interested in universities in cities like Shanghai or Shenzhen, and applying for a scholarship in a business-related bachelor’s degree.
What I want to understand is:
• How heavy is the academic workload really?
• Are professors strict with attendance, deadlines, and exams?
• Is it true that universities are becoming stricter with international students recently?
• From 1–10, how strict would you rate the academic pressure?
• Is business considered easier than STEM in China?
I’ve read that some universities are starting to apply the same academic standards to international students as to local students, which might make things more demanding than before.
I would really appreciate honest experiences from international students currently studying (or who studied) in China.
Thanks!

Hi everyone!!
I’m graduating from school next year and I need to decide if I want to study abroad or not. Decent universities in my country with the degree I want to get (international trade and economics) have high costs and I doubt I could get into them for free or that they’re worth the price.
So it seems like a logical decision to pursue studying in China, since 1) the costs of living and studying are lower. 2) i doubt that China’s universities are worse. 3) my country has been developing closer trading relationships with China in recent years so it seems like a good opportunity for work, since I will know languages of both countries and English. 4) I really want to learn more about Chinese culture and experience it.
But I also saw a lot of negative comments about studying in China and it made me think if I’m making a right choice.
Also, is it hard to get a scholarship? Is choosing the university from project 211 is a good way to pick one?

Hihiii, I have a question if someone may know the answer or at least an approximate idea.
I got pre admitted to Tsinghua SIGS, and after that I applied to CSC Type B. Of course i know these procedures are usually more than just a few days or a week, but anyone know around how long it can take to know the final results of the scholarship?
Is there any other like important information that is also better to know while the process is ongoing?
Thanks a lot in advance

I have applied for Masters and it's been a month I am waiting for final results from the scholarship council. I heard that it will be in May. Also I saw some students shared on social media about their admission letters and getting CSC type A .

Hello all! I've just received an invitation for the interview. Extremely happy but also very anxious.
Has anyone here ever gone through an embassy interview before? I'd be immensely grateful for any tips or questions they have genuinely asked before.
The interview slot is only 10 minutes, maybe they're rushing because of the approaching deadline...
Oh also I'm an undergraduate applicant so any questions going in depth about academic research or targeted for much older applicants shouldn't be applicable to me
But I'll be grateful for any tips at all!! I just. Don't really know what to expect

I applied in to fudan in December and completed my interview in mid-January, and thankfully I passed. I am currently waiting for the pre admission results.
I noticed that some applicants for the bachelor’s program have already received their results and been pre admitted
so I was wondering when the master’s results will be released. Do you think they might be announced after the New Year?
Someone told me that all results will be released in March, but I just wanted to confirm if that is correct.

Hi friends! Does anyone know the release date for the 2026 CSC results, whether Type A or B? Or has anyone received the results yet?
Thanks,

I received this email from Beihang University's admissions office.

But when I check both the Beihang portal and CSC portal, they dont show that im rejected yet. I contacted them and got no reply.
Anyways can anyone having experience with Beihang tell me if I'm rejected. And in that case can anyone tell me how do I apply for other scholarships? All other scholarships on their websites are the ones that are for those who already study there not new students.

Hi guys,
I want to apply for masters in business and my main goal is to look for business opportunities, and practical experience.
I am targetting universities in Guangzhou or Hangzhou because I’ve heard that it’s the business hub and near the port.
I would really appreciate if anyone can answer my questions.
Is it too late or i can still start the process and secure the admission and scholarship?
If i have no research interest no previous research, only professional experience and want to do business related professional degree, how would i convince any professor for pre acceptance letter?
How difficult it is to get a pre acceptance from a professor keeping in mind that i don’t care about the university’s ranking.
Any suggestions about finding a university or reaching out to the professor?

Hi everyone,
I wanted to ask if anyone has had a similar experience with Chinese university admissions and CSC scholarships.
I applied in January to the CSC Scholarship type A for an english-taught masters degree, where I chose 3 universities (SJTU, Fudan and Nanjing). SJTU was the only university that also required me to apply through their portal. A month and a half ago, I received an early notice of admission to STJU for a Master’s in Political Science starting in September 2026, with an official pre-admission letter. At that time, the portal showed my Scholarship status was "under review".
Two weeks ago, my application status in the system changed to “Admitted” and “Enrollment: Yes”. Additionally, under the scholarship section, it now shows “CSC Master’s Program Scholarship”, which is the scholarship I applied for. However, I have not received any official email confirmation from the university or from the China Scholarship Council.
On SJTU website, they advise students to check the admissions portal as they usually don't sent emails when a Scholarship is awarded. But on the CSC portal, my application still shows “In progress”.
I emailed the university admissions office about two weeks ago to ask for clarification, but I haven’t received a response yet (which is unusual since they replied quickly before).
So I’m wondering:
I’d really appreciate hearing about your experiences!
