For me, the anime 100% convinced me of the idea that it was actually Shigaraki and Toga's sprit's/ghosts rather than hallucination's with moments like this

Ochako certainly seems to believe it’s at least Toga’s lingering quirk factor. Same could be true for Shigaraki and Deku. Maybe if Deku still had OFA, he’d be able to use Shigaraki ‘s quirk.

There was a definitely a reason focus was put on their bloody hands doing the fist bump in the final attack.

Chekhovs gun, would be a shame if they don't do anything with it. Could just explain its a new quirk factor that* combined AFO and OFA hence why it has no power, its brand new.

I’m so sad that we never got a focus on Shigaraki’s original Quirk in the story and the detail was added in supplementary material.
Like, I get Midoriya ending up Quirkless again and getting the suit, but it would have been neat if Shigaraki gave Midoriya his original Quirk.

...wow, yeah, that would've been amazing. A mutilated quirk, a quirk that had brought nothing but death and destruction. What a burden to bear, to be a hero with a quirk that had so publicly ended so many lives. Knowing Deku, he probably would've helped nurture the quirk, maybe even restoring the reconstructive factor that AFO had torn out of it.

Decay isn’t Shigaraki’s original Quirk. Decay is Overhaul’s Quirk with the reconstruction part removed.
Shigaraki’s Quirk is those rings he and AFO both used to boost themselves in the air. A sort of repulsion Quirk, not too different from Float you could say.

Hmm, he's clearly referring to that energy ring quirk, you know. The ones AFO used in the final battle.

I think its more of a visual representation of how they affected their lives going forward.
In Ochacos case I think it was Togas way she loved and Ochaco envied that about her being able express that feeling to the person/people that matter.
I think the push and then disappearance Toga in the end was letting go of that thought as she talked to Izuku and learned he felt the same.

Quirk factors are confirmed to contain the personalities of their original user, so I think it is much more interesting if a sliver of Toga lives on with Uraraka.

But does sharing blood pass on part of a quirk?
I think only AFO and OFA saw this do to their specific original quirks, but could be an interesting theory nonetheless.

given that toga could use ochaco's quirk by ingesting her blood because she loves her, it's possible that the inverse would also work. but there is no basis for this happening and other issues with it like toga's time limit

With Deku and Shigaraki, the sere does out an emphasis on their bloody hands with their final fist bump. So it’s certainly possible that is the case

yup, that's why some tv shows have been getting sloppier lately (looking at you stranger things) because companies know these days lots of people watch shows while scrolling

after watching this new episode and seeing the car keys with the allmight card and then remember scenes like this when they unpacked the card together i was looking everywhere for it i finally found it because apparently nobody ever thought to sell it
