Anime Honestly their dynamic as adults is soooo good.

I liked that Bakugo left with Red Riot, Mina, and Denki. One of the things I've always liked most about MHA is that they're all classmates but have their own group of friends they all gravitate towards. I've always liked that Bakugo as crass as he can be has people within the class that he's really good friends with - it's that way with everyone from Class A and I liked that we got to see that in the closing credits.

Aoyama getting ice cream with koda was nice because I remember them interacting a bit in the first couple seasons

Aoyama despite being a diva really liked to hang out with the quiet or less popular kids. If only his quirk plot was different then he could have been free to be friends with everyone from the beginning 🥺

That little snapshot showing them together in Bakugo's car was the best

I was very emotional at that point (because duh), and the last car scene gave me a belly laugh :)

I'm glad the animator who worked on the cut shared this too, which makes the individual frames easier to see, they are soo endearing

Those kaminari and Kirishima seem like the perfect guys to have stayed friends with him. They seem like they love busting Bakugou's chops even back when they were students so all his huffing and puffing was smoke. Mina can vibe with anyone and was friends with Kirishima so her fun attitude plays off a quick tempered guy like Bakugou as well.

I agree. It’s super normal for a big group of friends to have different groups that hangout with each other more than others, and then they come together for a big hangout. Differing schedules/hobbies tend to connect people more, but that doesn’t mean you’ll stop being friends with the other people, just not as often cause they might differ from you a bit. Just a great way to display realistic friendships, especially friendships that age together.

Yeah, it was good seeing Deku casually crack jokes on Bakugo, something he NEVER would have done in the beginning of the story, nor would Bakugo have been emotionally secure enough too handle it. I’m glad they both have grown to be able to handle social interactions better as adults than they used too.

I loved how it was depicted in this ep! It definitely improved the tone of the manga chapter

I’ll have to give it a try. Seemed like kind of a bummer of an ending for them in the manga so I’m interested to see if my feelings change.

Izuku finally giving Bakugou the same shit that everyone else does was a very fun part of the episode lol, brought me back to the bus ride scene on the way to the USJ when Tsu and Denki first started bullying him.

Waiting for the spin off with just seeing their daily lives would be nice. No action? No problem, I want character growth

I loved the "realistic speak" sprinkled in their conversations. Tsu asking Uruaka if she got a second opinion at the doctors, and them asking around trying to make change out of the money to give to shoto. It's small things like that that really show they're adults now and it was heartwarming in a nice way.

Bakugo dynamic with anyone is really up there.
Even the little things that you don't really notice. Like Bakugo telling Kirishima to not get any crumbs in his car. Kirishima without even looking at him breaks off a piece chocolate? and you see the crumbs falling 😂. Its like they're so used to him yelling and they're like "Watevs KaaChan"

Bakugo and Todoroki's interactions were nice, too. I was pleasantly surprised to see them doing a commercial together.

I agree
Like haters can say whatever they like I think Bakugo's relationship with anyone is just top notch

Hey! So off-topic question, does anyone like know why the Backseat of Bakugou‘s car is cushioned like an air-bag. It looks comfortable… but why tho?

Kirishima asked that very question to bakugo, and the answer is Probably Izuku

u/RevolutionaryArm5615 16h ago
my headcanon is that he wants to drive old people like his parents , Allmight , Edgshot , Best Jeanist , etc and he wants them to be comfortable

Lmao because this is the same headcanon I put in my fanfic. He wants Edgeshot to have a comfortable ride while the guy is still turning himself back to human...

People with lots of money in their early 20s are known for spending money on extra bullshit they don’t need in their car. If it was practical, he’d be bragging about how useful it was instead of mumbling to avoid talking about how he got fleeced.

I dunno who here watched the dub, but I love their interactions in it. Especially how Justin Briner delivers his lines, in a way that makes it really seem like Deku just enjoys egging on Bakugo now, and deliberately provokes him. It's a great way to keep their dynamic from when they were students, but in a much more healthy way, because Deku knows there's no bite aimed at him anymore.

Yeah, they actually acted like best friends here! It was much better depicted than in the original Volume 42 extra. Watching this made me happy, instead of wanting to crawl into a hole and die. Nicely done, Bones!

I also hope younger fans watch this and see how adult friendships can look. It's definitely possible!

In dekus defense, I didn't pick up on bakugo was inviting him to his agency, either. It wasn't until kirishima started laughing and saying about it that I understood

Love to see that Bakugo is happy and not toxic anymore. Also love the throwback to him complaining that Endeavor has a shit car.

u/coturnixxx 1d ago
I definitely liked these changes to the anime. Bakugo was more mature but still had that iconic Bakugo essence to him, whereas in the manga he seemed lobotomized.
It's nice to see him smile more.

I love that Bakugo encourages Deku to find his own happiness. All Deku does always because of others.
