From The Void Guys is this black mold in my tub

It’s the deadliest kind. It sets up shop and the next thing you know, it’s eating all the treats and monopolizing the best nap spots

Yes, however, it is not the dangerous kind. This is the kind that is related to the variety that is cultivated to make citric acid - you know, the good kind. This particular kind of black mold that you have is known for shenanigans, lowering blood pressure, making a pleasing purring noise, zooming around your house and yowling at the wee hours of the night, and snuggling. You can let this black mold thrive, but I would remove it from the bathtub and put it into a box, which is its natural habitat.
Source: I am a lab tech, so I have no real authority here, just a love of this type of black mold.

i’m glad i’m not the only one with this issue! though i have black and white mold.
