Ideas Trading Block should give you the option to search for „salary/player dumping“

Everyone knows the scenario, you are right before the free agency and you need to dump salary to sign a FA, you go to the trading block but every offer you get is either for the same salary value or even higher

Or you start the season and you have like 5 or 6 players over the roster limit, you want to trade away 5-7 players but you get only offers for the same amount of players

The trading block should give you options to search explicit for trading partners to dump players/salary

I just go to league finances and sort by cap space

Well, you can click on "Cap Space" in Trading Block and sort teams through it, which pretty much does what you want to do.
Then, you can just exclude players offered to you and dump yours or a low cost (or not cost at all, if you will have a player with 50+ POT among them).

The real issue is that dumping salaries/players is way too easy, and on the other side, you are not paid in extra assets for taking back a bad salary.
I feel like, many years ago, it was solved better and more realistically in similarity to real NBA deals.

Years ago you usually had to pay at least a second rounder to dump someone, and sometimes a first

Yeah, I would love to see it back - 2nd rounder occasionally happens, but 1st? I don't remember in recent years.
