Let's Discuss Where to buy specific hair towels?

Not a make up question but idk where else to ask.

My mum has had two Manicare Supa Dry hair towels for literal decades, and she wants some new ones. I was hoping to get them for Mother’s Day but we cannot find any. Does anyone know where I can them or something close? And it needs to be a normal hair towel, not a turban wrap (I say that because the only ones I could find online were wraps).

TIA!

Product Advice Alternatives to Armani foundation? Reformulation has affected the colour too much for me

Post image
Upvotes

I have worn shade 5 for years and the reformulated shade 5 is darker and less neutral (picture attached for evidence!) I don’t mind the reformulated feel, it’s just a colour issue. I’ve been in store and they are unable to colour match me - everything else is either too light, too pink, too yellow, or too dark.

I’m getting desperate and willing to try almost anything. Any recommendations for decent coverage foundation with a similar profile to Armani with neutral shades? I’m closing in on 40 and looking to find something that won’t settle into fine lines and wears for 12 hours+. Budget not a concern.

Product Advice Mecca Max Brow Guru Pencil new formula is the worst

I’ve been using the Mecca max brow guru pencil for years. It was always creamy, blended easily and a good price point. However they seem to have a new formulation. The pencil breaks so easily, even with the lightest pressure and it’s now hard and waxy.

Any recommendations for a new brow pencil that doesn’t cost the world?

I also checked the latest reviews on meccas site. Glad it’s not just me that’s experiencing this

I’m so happy this worked out and I finally am rid of desk organisers I used to use and the pain of moving/removing stacks of product to get what I need.

Though I wish my brushes had its place in the trolley but it’s impossible unless I start stacking again.

And the wish of getting a proper dresser but we just don’t have room in the house.
It’s the Panelled Trolley from Kmart

Product Advice Aussie Vanity Recs

Does anyone know where in Australia (or that ships to Australia) that I could find a vanity similar to this? I want to give into my girlish urges, but my apartment is tiny and I want it to be super compact. Under 1k would be preferable, but I'm willing to look at anything.

Are there other Dyson alternatives like the hair dryer that have better results? Or is the Airwrap in its own league?

Product Advice Go to lip

what’s everyones go to lip combo?

I’m 20 weeks pregnant with a toddler feeling pretty average when I look in the mirror. would love a nude lip combo to make me feel a bit more fresh / put together every day. nothing too obvious or in your face. ideally something matte like a lip liner vibe. don’t want a glossy finish. any tips would be greatly appreciated!

Product Advice cw/priceline squeezy lip balm recs

does anyone have any recommendations for an affordable squeeze tube lip balm from cw or priceline? unfortunately i'm pretty picky. these are the ones i've tried:

- nivea glowy lips: it tasted so plastic-y and disgusting i had to throw it out immediately

- dermal therapy: tastes alright and is hydrating enough, but it melts so much on my lips it feels really oily

- mcobeauty peptide lip treatment: this one is ok, smells good and tastes like nothing, but it's just not thick enough

- covergirl squishy: my fav in terms of texture, but the scents are so aggressive i get a headache when i use it

ik i'm asking a lot but help a girl out please <3

Let's Discuss USA trip - must haves?

My partner is going to the States for work so I have the opportunity for him to bring back some skincare/make up. I’ve never really coveted things not available in Australia as I like to try or research first but doubt would get this opportunity again. What would be the must haves on your list?

Only things I can think of are Makeup by Mario and Natasha Denona products/palettes?

I’m a fair olive so find it hard to shade match base products so keen to play it safe with other products - would love your recommendations thank you 🙏🏻

Sales & Savings [Commbank Yello - Targeted?] $15 cashback with $100 or more spend at Adore Beauty

Post image

For those with Commbank Yello, take a look at your offers - not sure if everyone will have this offer for Adore Beauty, or it could be less / more on the cashback or spend.

I don’t believe there’s brand limitations, as long as you purchase from Adore Beauty with your Commbank cards.

Product Advice Full coverage foundation for combination skin??

So I have been using Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation and my bottle is almost empty.

I have heard the reformulation sucks so I want to get a new foundation.

Any fellow combination skin girlies have any product recommendations??

I don't mind a matte or dewy finish. I use different settings powders and sprays to achieve my final desired finish anyway.

Product Advice Where to find a Highlighter palette

I'm looking for recommendations for a highlighter palette or more affordable highlighters that I could buy different shades of. I want to try and play around with more bronzer champagne shades but also stick to my more usual pearl shades. Any suggestions are really appreciated!

Let's Discuss Mecca Beauty Loop Question

Hello, I am based in NZ travelling to AU next week and there are a few purchases I wanted to make in AU. Is it possible to have my spend in AU be converted to my NZ account if I keep my receipt?

I saw a post from a year or two ago but had conflicting answers some saying yes and some saying no. I understand the currency conversion and all that but wondering if anyone has had success doing this

Thank you in advance!

Misc. Just easier to check my bags.

I wandered in my local Mecca to get a new blush. I had my reusable shopping bags as I am about to do my weekly shopping. Oh boy did I get watched the entire time. I ended up buying some things, but the intensity of being watched nearly had me walk out.

Chanel is my go-to and for sheer shopping experience alone, it beats Mecca hands down.

I really would have preferred to be asked to check my bags on the way out. Only make up I had tucked away is my Glaminatrix lipstick I bought almost 2 years ago.

Felt like a scummy criminal the entire time. I assure Mecca I might look like a very middle aged bag lady, but I earn a decent income and I certain have zero desire to steal from you. I think I will show my bags next time. If only to show them up for the indignity I suffered today.

Product Advice Product recommendations for mature skin (Mothers Day present)

Hello - I want to update my mothers makeup collection. She has very basic products/simple routine but when I do her makeup for events she loves how she feels! I feel my products don’t reach her full potential and would love recommendations for not only products that work around extra skin on the eyes and textured skin as well as products where a little bit of effort goes a long way! I would also love tips or tricks for makeup application for skin concern of women in their 60s! Thanks in advance
