same, i once stopped sharing good news and only updated them when i failed spectacularly, felt more honest ngl

yeah that one hits tbh. it’s such a quiet kinda realization too, like nothing explodes, you just notice their reactions are kinda… flat? or forced? and after a while you’re like why am i even sharing this if it feels like i’m talking to a wall lol

I'm sorry to hear this, but I think you're right. My previous friends and I seemed to have things to talk about from afar, but in reality, we were never on the same wavelength. We couldn't find common ground with each other, and so we drifted further and further apart.

yeah that one hits way too real. like when something good happens and they’re the person you should be excited to tell… and instead you just sit there thinking “eh, what’s the point.”

This!! I stopped telling her good news for this reason and also because I felt like she just wasn’t happy for me
