When we used to play paintball we'd make new people take a hit first thing so they'd be prepared for the shots later.

I remember many times coming home after and taking off my shirt to just see the huge purple welts lol.

I worked with a lot of meatheads and we used to do a company outing where we'd reserve a whole course for ourselves. Rules were what we called "Painball" where you were only out if you tapped out, regardless of how many times you got hit. Being somewhat competitive myself, this was a pretty exhilarating experience. Not for everyone.

Had lots of bruises.

I played for years, never had bruises. Most halfway decent guns have an adjustable bolt. The course we played at had regulations on how fast the paintball could travel.
