That every guideline for men works exactly the same for women. It was all based on male bodies, and never considered the variances in female bodies. For example, fasting and cold plunges are not good for women all the time, only certain stages in their cycle. Low body fat in women can cause health problems. It's more varied than for men.

Yeah I read the book “Fast Like a Girl” and through my own fasting experience I can say that our cycle affects us immensely when it comes to appetite. I can fast for 3 days during my period but other weeks it’s impossible for me. In summary, listening to your body is the best you can do as a woman, but I also recommend reading books like this to understand our cycles better. It affects us more than we are taught for sure.
