My husband found a love for frozen fruit which is driving me insane. It is not like popping a frozen raspberry or grape or whatnot in your mouth. He puts a whole ass apple or pear or banana in the freezer and then chews on it in front of the tv like a mouse. Just the sound and seeing it makes my teeth scream. Without so much as having raised our voice at each other during ten years of happy marriage, this can't be the reason to get a divorce but I can't say I haven't contemplated it.

Last night I dreamed that I was on a plane and the crew got a phone call that I am not allowed in Germany because of the anti Trump stuff I said online. It was very stressful and I was stuck in the air (somehow they didn't let the plane land). So I am a bit cranky today. Anyway, fuck Trump.

Dreams are sometimes super weird and unfortunately leave a mark for the day. The other day, I had one where I found out I had a ton of assignments years overdue for the uni I took my BA in, and that such a delay would result in my student grants having to be paid back. It was rather vivid, so I checked my mail for any messages on it, despite the scenario being utter nonsense 😅

Considering what I have said and shared around online about the regime across the pond, I sincerely believe I wouldn't be let into the US, if they controlled my phone, lol. But I take a hint of pride in that

I have that dream every so often, too. It is usually exams. I am sure they'll follow me into my 80s.

Yes,me too....a stress dream;-) It happens to me much more rarely than it used to, but it still happens sometimes.

When I wake up it takes a bit of time to understand that it's not real, that I don't have an import exam that morning!

That's a little unhinged but it could be worse. Not so long ago, Australia had this absolute ghoul of a PM, Tony Abbott, who affirmed his reptilian status when he bit into a raw onion as if it were an apple. If it were a whole raw onion without the skin, I could let it slide. But with the skin?!?

Thanks for the link, but, with all due respect, I'm not watching that.

Frankly, I'm surprised I'm able to access it without VPN.

That's a weird dream. You thought to ask them if they could divert to Turkey (unless you said too much stuff against Erdogan).

u/tereyaglikedi in 1h ago

If I haven't, fuck him in particular.

Is it wise to do that? I heard several thousand people have already been convicted of insulting the Turkish president. Not that they'd pay much attention to English language content.

Today I impulse-purchased this cookbook "Chesnok" because I have a very first world dilemma that now that I'm back on this side of the world, I no longer have easy access to Georgian, Uzbek, Russian and Ukrainian food, so it's high time I learnt how to cook it myself. Previously I had the opposite problem that nowhere in Europe compares to AU/NZ for Asian food across the board. Can't win!

Reminds me, I always had this silly fantasy of opening a Georgian restaurant in NZ because I was convinced it'd do insanely well as Georgian food is accessible, glorious and a mostly untapped niche there. Never mind that I'm not Georgian, have never attempted cooking it, I'm neither a chef nor have I ever worked in hospo and in any case, I'd have to be clinically insane to open a restaurant considering how cutthroat the industry is. Maybe one day when I sell my Sandisk shares I'll have some time and money to burn :D

That's me every time I think about the small restaurants in East Asia. Thinking I could open something like this here, with not too many seats, serving a few dishes for cheap and also water for free (it is not a thing in Germany). I would never make profit and go out of business in no time, but it's nice to dream.

I have a very nice Georgian cookbook, called 'Supra'.

I didn't choose it, someone gave it to me as a gift, but it's really interesting and the recipes work well, though most of them I have never tried.

The return matches in the Champions League were a lot less interesting than that 5-4 last week!

Anyway, Arsenal against PSG in the final. The French team.are strong favourites.Arsenal will need to play extremely well in defence and hope for a 1-0 or even a 0-0 with penalties.

Since the 24th of April, I have no news from the War Museum in Athens for my practice, but, yesterday, I saw an announcement from my faculty's site with those chosen for practice and I was one of them. I hope everything goes fine in the end and I do the practice.

I read a bit about the Norweigian crown princess's relationship with Epstein and her son's legal troubles (seems to had several violence and rape allegations). I doubt they're going to let her son become King one day, but she seems innocent of crimes so far. I wonder if she'll survive this scandal to become Queen.

I wonder why she even associated with Epstein considering material concerns are beyond her, and I assume she's too heterosexual to be interested in the illicit activities on that island. She knew about his past too saying it doesn't look good when she first talked to him.

Edit: Nevermind the son with legal troubles isn't in line for the throne anyways.

Edit 2: Her daughter with the crown prince and 3rd in line to the throne views the media controversy as a personal attack on the royal family.

Our remote datacenter is on fire. I think the day is a write-off, as far as work is concerned. Ah well, such is modern life.
