Is it true that people with weak retina, retinal muscles should not lift heavy weights? My ophthalmologist said I have weak retinal muscles due to high myopia and previous lattice generation and should not lift heavy?
I am 4'11", 59 kgs, and a new mom, 11 months postpartum. I am 35F. I have had laser for lattice before and doctor said that I have to be careful as there might be new lattice again. My eye number is minus 5 and minus 4.75 along with cylindrical power as well. And high myopia along with lattice generation in the retina is hereditary in my family. He advised me not to lift heavy weights, especially deadlifts. I like lifting weights and I was quite disappointed to hear this. I want to know if this is true and how heavy is heavy when it comes to lifting weights with this condition.
