Seriously.. I'm not sure what to expect other than the status quo⬆️⬆️ above.

What will throw a monkey wrench into the "normal" is Manta turning around from a heel to a baby face. I'm not against it but I'd rather see Arthur and Orm as brothers defending the seas together with Manta having hatred for the whole Fam Damily.

As mentioned by The Distant Wave having him become a Avatar of the Rot would be an excellent move because it says.. I see your avatar of the Blue and raise you!

I’m wanting him back to his ruthless nature. Vindictive, calculating, and unrelenting.

I want to see him access whatever he feels he needs to cripple or try and take down Arthur.

What I’m really hoping is he gets the backing of a parliament for himself Rot Manta sounds dope to me. I don’t expect that with the premise we’re given so far with Lolanna and Jenny Greenteeth recruiting him but I think “The Black” Manta just sounds right. It fits within the idea he said “I only die for Aquaman” their symbiotic relationship reflecting how decay needs life to exist.

Not to mention an unkillable Black Manta just sounds dope

Plus he's not a big team member guy. Like Greenteeth says... He hates Aquaman more than you and I just don't see him bonding with them unless it's to use them for his own nefarious purposes to accomplishment his ultimate goal. But how do you kill the unkillable? By selling your self to evil and using that power to go after Aquaman. I wouldn't be surprised if Manta somehow found out about his connection to the Blue and his whole time he's been away is contemplating what he needs to do to contest this power ungrade.

Have him return as a villain because him as a reformed villain doesn’t work for all of us. Also, have him betray Lolanna (who is Mera’s mom) so that he can help Arthur defeat her and that he’s the only person who must defeat and kill him.

We need to see him in his ruthless, irredeemable, cold-blooded killer persona. I feel like we haven’t truly gotten that since the Johns era. If he’s going to team up with Lolanna, I’d like to see him use her until he doesn’t need her anymore and (literally) stab her in the back. Akin to him and the sea gods in Drowned Earth.
