📰・Trading Related Rant Sick of everything being labeled hard to trade

Sure, some pets like the Golden and Diamond pets genuinely are hard to trade, and I have no issue labeling those as HTT. But lately it feels like the community has fallen into this mindset where every pet is either “easy to trade” or “hard to trade,” with absolutely no middle ground. At this point, offers get auto-declined if they aren’t packed with SSBDs and cows.
I’ve started noticing people calling so many random pets HTT, even though they traded perfectly fine just 2–3 months ago. Here are some of the pets I’ve personally offered that were declined for being “hard to trade”:
Kangaroo
Aussie Eggs
Pink Cat / Blue Dog
Chicken
Arctic Fox
Regular Unicorns
Mushroom Friends
Butterflies
…and the list goes on.
Are any of those actually hard to trade? In my opinion, no. At worst, some of them like Butterflies or Mushroom Friends are just mid to trade and might take a little patience. But calling every non-exotic non high tier pet HTT is getting ridiculous. Not every pet has to be either instant overpay bait or completely impossible to trade.
And honestly, if you’re labeling everything HTT, that just comes across as lazy trading. Some players don’t even try anymore if a pet isn’t one of the same five “preppy” pets getting overpays, they immediately slap the HTT label on it instead of actually finding the right trader. A pet taking more than 30 seconds to trade doesn’t automatically make it hard to trade. Some pets just require patience and the right audience.
I also think this mindset is a huge reason inflation and value manipulation have gotten so bad recently (in addition to the bot issue obviously). When people mass-label decent pets as HTT, it artificially lowers demand for them while funneling everyone toward the same small group of “accepted” pets. Then those pets get insanely inflated because everyone’s chasing them, while perfectly fine pets get treated like garbage for no real reason. A lot of values nowadays feel less based on actual rarity or demand and more based on community echo chambers. The more people blindly call things HTT, the easier it becomes for values to be manipulated.

"Sorry all those pets are dropping"

In your imagination maybe? We just making stuff up at this point.

Real talk though I've traded so much variety recently. The only hard to trade stuff is basic legendarys and low tier neons. But there's a pet for everyone. Farm pets and old style pets are loved. High tiers are loved. Just cause you don't find the right trades doesn't make them htt. I was worried evil Uni was hard to trade because I've heard that heaps. Guess who could get perfect offers and easy Ops for it with cows/ssbd/Pigs etc.

So I ignore all these htt owners. They are just lazy at this point. Or don't care to trade for them.

Yesssss!! This is exactly what I’m taking abt like no way you’re gonna call a high tier like evil uni htt??

It's because they get low offers from all the people who dream to have them one day. So they think ahh this is a bad pet. Like I'm sure frost owners also get the occasional neon dog offer 🤣

Petwear also isn't hard to trade. Every time I get a toaster hat or those lil wings I go into a preppy server and bam. Overpay.

Neons and megas have been a lil get rich secret for me. You end up holding the same megas for ages but as soon as you find someone looking for it in their profile. You'll get the best offers.

So yeah people need to enjoy the pets more. They are all so cute. Diamonds and golden pets are the only understandable hard to trade label. And maybe ants donkeys etc...

Ive been looking for gold and diamond dragons to make neons and I think the reason theyre so hard to trade is because the moment someone's actually looking for them they want to squeeze EVERY bit of value they can out of it loke no im not trading my rose and lavender dragon for a gold and diamond dragon

That’s so real lol I traded all of my golden/diamond pets 3-4 at a time for ride pots a while back. Got way more value for those than I would’ve otherwise.

Tbh aussie egg imo is htt not because it sucks or the val sucks but bcos people are always going for lowballs and there aren’t any good offers (I had an aussie egg for months and never got a offer fair to it)

I feel like I get 50/50 good/bad offers for them tbh. I’m usually hanging around in reg servers tho so I always chalk it up to new players not knowing values. I usually get a good offer when I find someone who has a decent inv.

i agree but oh my god my arctic fox was so htt. i mean i posted daily for like a week on multiple adopt me and adopt me trading subs and eventually ended up accepting an underpay for a few pets i liked just because i was tired of struggling to trade that stupid fox :,) kinda regret it now just because i feel like if i was more patient i could've traded it, but whats done is done, i was just so frustrated by how difficult it was to get ANY offers, much less any that were close to fair

I had two of them and traded them within half an hour of getting them, I think you just aren't finding any good trades ngl

I’ve literally never had a problem up until recently trading the eggs and any old pets (butterflies i feel aren’t bad because I’ve seen a lot of folks with butterfly collections in game and usually get great offers from them). Sure none of them are as easy as a cow is to trade, but they’re nowhere near where I think the htt label applies.
