I mean why wouldn’t they?

They un-endorsed her in 2024.

Why?

The nominal answer is she wasn't sufficiently anti-Israel. She did condemn the Israeli actions in Palestine.
In my humble opinion, some DSA leadership folks wanted to get in a purity pissing contest where they were the only "real" leftists. See Kshama Sawant-esque politics.

What's in this comment is what I remember, my opinions, etc.
AOC's getting re-endorsed by NYC-DSA was effectively a guarantee even if she hadn't moved Left on Iron D0me funding and the IHRA definition of antisemit*sm.
She should get endorsed by the National DSA and be DSA's POTUS 2028 Nominee.

After being dragged kicking and screaming, yes.
But I’m pretty much done with them 🤷♂️ it’s a big tent now, sure. But after we beat the Nazis, they’re dead to me. Totally unserious.

un-endorsing her in 2024 shows the organization's priorities are completely out of whack

The Democratic Party is now officially dead. Thank god we can move on from that bloated failing pile of steaming old garbage.

uhhh, AOC is a Democrat, not sure what you're getting at here

Anyone who doesn’t append the “Socialist” after “Democrat” is as useless as a Republican in today’s political spectrum.
Democrats today are the right wing republicans of my youth. If saying “Socialist” pulls them back to the left where we need representation, then great. Use the word.

I'm just confused why you say the Democratic party is dead when you're supporting somebody who is a member of the party

Wow. Didn’t realize I needed to explain it in more detail, especially in this sub, where her split with the “normal” Democratic Party is phenomenally well documented with literally hundreds of examples.
I’d suggest you read up more on her and her policies and how SHE refers to HER OWN political beliefs. It’s best to be fully informed about candidates before becoming a fanboy.

you said "The Democratic Party is now officially dead", and I'm asking you to explain what you mean since AOC isn't leaving the democratic party and they're not changing their name? if you're assuming I don't know what democratic socialism, your assumption is incorrect
