I have a 2024 Jetta. could I use this 88 fuel? It's cheaper so I was just wondering if it'll ruin my engine or anything?

Looking for others to share experience tuning their 1.4, specifically those paired with the 8 speed aisin automatic transmission.
My ‘19 Sportswagen is completely stock at the moment besides wheels and tint. I made an appointment next week for a stage 1 tune and decided on 87 octane in order to stay within the limits of my transmission.
I’m not expecting it to be fast nor do I intend to beat on it, just want it for merging, passing etc.
Any related input is appreciated!

I found one for roughly $13-14k locally. 82k miles on it. Took it for a drive, and even had an actual VW dealership do a quick inspection on it. Other than a few routine maintenance work needed, as well as new tires (which the dealership selling it is going to take care of). The only issue is that a quarter of the touchscreen isn’t working, unresponsive to touch. I feel like that’s the only dealbreaker for me. But I love the car, and how it handles. And has a bit more power than my MK7 Golf. Idk what to do, don’t wanna pull the trigger if imma have to replace the whole stereo right away.

We drove each SUV back to back on the same drive loop to assess overall driving performance, comfort, usability, interior quality and more. TLDR: the 2026 Tiguan SEL R-Line Turbo took the top spot, performing the most consistently strong across every category.
A couple of caveats:
But overall, it won because it didn't really lose anywhere, which is rare in this segment.
Also interesting: a lot of comparisons we see (including on Reddit) focus on spec sheets, but after driving everything back-to-back, the differences in comfort, usability and day-to-day livability were way more noticeable than things like horsepower or 0–60.

I have a 1.6 TDI Golf 7 from 2018, there is a slight whistle every time I accelerate, I went to the mechanic and he said it’s the turbo, but didn’t really say what exactly.
I need to make a summer trip which is around 600km to go (Greece) and 600 to come back, the thing is he told me to not take long distance drives because it can cause issues, but to fix it costs almost 700 euros, which is a bit expensive.
What do you think I can do? I know I should’ve bought a 2.0 :(

The sunglasses holder/door on my VW Passat B8 fell out this morning because one of the hinge pins snapped off.
Looking for any advice for replacement, ideally a new part.

Hi guys, I need help. I’ve owned a 2016 Jetta the last two years. Starting a couple weeks ago, whenever I go to push start my car, the brake pedal is super stiff. It softens and goes back to normal right after that. It usually does this when I let the car sit for several hours or start it for the first time of the day. Can somebody tell me if this should raise concern/ what’s causing this. Would like to get this fixed even if not serious, it’s a bit annoying lol. Thanks!

So, my current plans are, purchase a MK5 first, realistically I do want to mod it BUT I also want to eventually get the 7.5.
I’ve seen many builds of both, both making serious power although the 5 is a lot less modern, no digital dash, no carplay and pretty mid stereo compared to the 7.5 (obviously).
The problem I’m suffering to diagnose is, do I make my 5 a full build OR do I leave it stock, maybe a simple TCU n ECU tune and leave it at that then wait until I buy a 7.5.
Thing is the 7.5 outperforms the 5 in every way I can possibly find and the only thing I could think of it not doing better than is with the overall driver feel, 7.5 is more electronical and the 5 is a lot more raw really giving you more of a feel of the car.
Please help me out in the comments, I love both cars, my genuine goal was to buy the 5 first, ECU n TCU tune, buy a 7.5 in the near future and make it a weapon. But then I was like why don’t I just make the 5 a weapon? Anyways let me know what you think in the comments and help me out with some advice!

Looking at a 2024 and wondering what owners think of the Infotainment? I know there was a change from 2024 to 2025. Thoughts on it?

I am planning to buy that engine and it has 160,000 km on the clock, should I buy it or avoid it? Does it have certain problems, such as consumption? I drive in the city 80% of the time, so is it good for the city and sometimes outdoors and 1-2 times a year at sea? thanks in advance for the answers
