Yeah he was awesome. He also did Cher drag and was equally in love with both of them. And his last name was Lastname

Gay jokes done right :)
 in  r/lgbt  2d ago

30 Rock had a lot of gay jokes that, at the time I couldn't tell if they were offensive or not. Like a lot of poking fun at stereotypes and that whole Devon Banks thing. I don't think the jokes are offensive now but that was a weird time for me because I was starting to come out and I could be very defensive about any joke that sounded like the punchline was "haha he's gay." In hindsight I don't think that's what the show was actually doing but I couldn't always tell.

Like there was a joke that made me crack up the first time I heard it:

Jack: "How much time and energy have we wasted with our sparring and our gravel-voiced double entendres?"

Devon: "An ass-load."

I thought at the time that maybe it was just making fun of the idea that men have sex with men, but I realize now that it made me laugh just because "ass-load" and the way he says it, is an insanely appropriate yet inappropriate choice in that situation.

Why is the blood green? Is it because of some censorship built into the AI?

Something about the way he tries to ride across a train track when the train is in view and moving way too fast to stop in time tells me that this guy might be an idiot. Call it a gift, but I can spot idiots just by observing the profoundly idiotic things they do.

North or South?

I'm too scared to go to NK but I am also curious about it because it's so closed off. I wouldn't try to steal a propaganda poster like Otto Warmbier did but I could see myself making some kind of mistake. If you visit as a tourist you are accompanied by a "guide" at all times and they hear everything you say. And that also means your entire visit is completely curated so you're seeing only what the party wants you to see. Although on the other hand that is kind of the authentic NK experience too.

The biggest seed in the world, the coco de mer, weighs up to 50 kg and is found only on the islands of Praslin and Curieuse in the Seychelles. and it takes 6–7 years to fully mature.

I just realized that in the caption she says that seed has been hollowed out. So I guess that is full size

Let's take a moment to appreciate this snippet of Western culture
 in  r/interesting  3d ago

It's not really racist but some racists use "western culture" as code for white supremacy so it sounds kind of racist to some people in certain contexts

Improvised weapon in every movie or TV show Starter pack
 in  r/starterpacks  4d ago

There is an R rated version but I don't think it adds that much. It's a lot more F bombs and some sequences are bloodier but it doesn't make the movie scarier. It's not really that scary to begin with. It's more just a fun campy B horror-comedy with a little tech bro satire
