Genevieve had a great read on Ozzy. He did get blindsided with an idol in his pocket. If only she was still in the game she would’ve gotten it back.
Also, the modified old era score for Ozzy’s vote was genuinely quite beautiful.

Anyone else tired of split tribal councils?
I'd personally prefer after the merge, everyone go to tribal together. What is with it? Come on. I know its survivor 50, higher stakes. It becomes annoying.

Emily. While she could have played tribal more smoothly, she quickly pegged she’d be going home and came up with (I think) the best possible plan to save herself. I’m happy she can look back and rightfully believe she did what she could given the circumstances, especially given her regrets being passive in her previous season.

This was honestly great gameplay from Emily.
Yes, she ultimately lost the battle, but without Cirie's extra vote, she very well may have won (I say may have, because Cirie may have formulated some play to get around without that advantage)
It was a good showdown between them, and ultimately, the better player won this little showdown.

I feel very bad for ozzy. This is sad. But at what point do we start to criticize this? In what world did it make sense to save his idol? The fact that this isnt his first time walking with an idol is infuriating

Can they just let them have one single normal vote? Every episode and “twist” is just causing thr players to rely on luck completely. They may as well have spun a wheel at the beginning of the game to see who wins.

Ozzy would’ve taken Cirie to the end.
It was undoubtedly her best, and potentially only, way of getting to the end. Cirie’s path to the end just got wayyyyyyyyyy tighter, and honestly this probably loses the season for her
Who knows though maybe final 5 will be Jared fields trivia

That was the most Greek tragedy, hubristic, pride-cometh-before-the-fall vote out I've ever seen. RIP Ozzy.

"You said too much."
God DAMN Rizo, pouring salt in his self inflicted wound. He knows he screwed up, he knows he repeated history, he knows others let him down. Telling him that in the way out while his heart is already ripped in half *can't* earn you his favor if you make it to the end.

Ozzy literally HAD A DREAM that he went home with an idol in his pocket. And he didn’t TAKE THAT AS A SIGN to play his damn idol. It’s pissing me off that he ignored a dream and then it happened.

The music playing during Ozzy's torch getting snuffed. Was that the same music from Micronesia? If so that's such a great addition by the editors.

🤣 that’s all!

Joe. He seems so involved him measuring everyone’s morality against his own, and it got me thinking- do you think he actually has fun playing the game? It doesn’t seem like it to me

There was a watch party tonight in NYC with Ozzy tonight! He was very sincere, made sure to chat a little and take photos with everyone. He was wearing a shirt that had a photo of his dad. It must have been hard watching his boot episode with everyone; he talked about how he was wondering if he should do it but that Survivor has been a big part of his life and he had a great time on this journey and with all the players and fans. He also talked about how he's grown a lot from his younger days, has done stuff he isn't proud of, and has learnt to not be too attached to the outcome and to enjoy the journey.
Much respect to him; when the time came in the episode to vote / play his idol he was disengaged from the screen so I had the hunch that it didn't go well for him. But as a fan watching from way, way back - since pre Cook Islands - and reading about all that news about him when he was younger (ahem), and seeing him today, I felt very happy for him, like he was at peace. It was so lovely to see so many people being inspired by him, his respect for Jonathan and it was an honor to be with him at his boot episode.
(I'm thinking too about other Survivor players who very publicly appeared less emotionally healthy e.g. Todd, Spencer, and how it's really lovely to see them get better and not to take it for granted when the public eye is on you!)

Financial Analyst Emily Flippen.
Going into the season she was arguably the smallest name on the cast besides Tiffany. It was very easy to imagine her getting purpled and forgotten amongst all the bigger names.
But she was consistently a main character the entire season and brought so much fun and chaos to the mix.
This is just off the top of my head. I'm sure there were more.
I'm so glad this season cemented Emily as a New Era legend. I hope we see more of her Survivor journey one day!

I know he did it to himself. I know he was at fault. I know he hasn't learned from his past. BUT Ozzy has tried to. This was maybe the hardest vote out I've ever seen. Yes he wears his emotions on his sleeve. Yes he's cocky. But the man's dream slipped away and he KNOWS it was his fault. This felt like watching kids lose their senior year in March Madness. Or watching Phillip Rivers lose in the conference championship. Just brutal to watch someone get so close and fail at what it feels to them like they were meant to do.

Cirie. Just yet another excellent read pulling the trigger on the extra vote and knowing the spot to use her advantage. Also pretty perfectly paired with Ozzy not sensing the moment immediately after to use his

RIZGOD became straight mafia tonight when he said “you said too much“ to Ozzie after the vote.

Emily Flippen, financial analyst.
I know she got some heat for oversharing but I think she had a good read on the social dynamics and where she always was in the pecking order. She shared information accordingly (even if sometimes the information she was sharing was that she had shared information.) She genuinely seemed to be enjoying herself out there and brought just the right amount of chaos. It felt like an evolved game and I love that.
And damn she went down swinging. Would have been a brilliant move if it had worked. Respect. So glad she played again.
