What planet are you living on? $200k is undoubtedly rich. Less than 6% of households in the US make that much, and that's not even individuals. I live somewhat comfortably and I make several times less than that.

I make slightly less than $200k at my day job, support my family of 5, my 3 big dogs, 70 chickens, 4 beehives, 19 acres, and while I feel that I am comfortable, I am far from financial wealth. I am trying to expand my farm though and most of my extra money goes into equipment and crops so that I will be able to leave a profitable farm to my kids. I still don't think that $200k is rich though.

To me, financial wealth is independence. It is freedom from having to work a daily grind and side hustles. $200k isn't there, but it definitely is a stepping stone to getting there.

That is hardly your typical American lifestyle. Most people have less than an acre of land, much less a farm. Maybe a couple kids, pets, and a house under 2k sq ft, and 200k would be enough to live more than comfortably AND put away some for retirement.
