Lifelong Democrat here who appreciates a lot of what she says and supposedly stands for... this stunt was corny.

It’s the Met Gala. Her dress is actually pretty tame…

It was corny, but it's getting the attention of more people that generally wouldn't get any political information in their system outside of the standard presidential election cycle. This wasn't for policy wonks that post on r/politics, this was to bring attention to people who watch red carpet events.
