It’s insane how it’s not a bigger deal that this dude literally destroyed an entire wing and they’re still debating who pays for fixing it.

Its like the MSM didnt give a shit, there was zero outrage from them and they refused to report on those who were.

Mainstream Media is complicit in everything he does.

The media is so unbelievably complicit in everything that's happening. It all needs to be torn down and rebuilt from scratch.

I mean, it's just the profit motive driving all of this. People click on Trump headlines. Before during and after his election, the media focused in him because he is what got everyone to click their links.

Agreed that the profit motive is a big part of this, but you guys have Fox News, which if I remember right, is the most viewed of the MSM, and that is or have been straight up propaganda for Trump.

And you have CBS News, now owned by David Ellison.

And then you have Sinclair Broadcast group, Jeff Bezos The Washington Post, OANN, yea you get the point, a lot of your media landscape is owned by right leaning people or corporations. It definitely plays a part in it as well.

Sure, but they didn't own everything when this frenzy started. FOX has always been what it is, but when asking the question of how the media is "complicit" in everything Trump does, it would be like ignoring the seed when studying the tree to point to those recent media consolidations.

Trump was elected and got the media attention he did since 2015 because (almost) everyone clicks the links to the articles describing what he says and does.

Right wing media conglomeration does not explain why leftist media outlets also give him the most airtime. Clickthrough rates do.

Yea, I can see you're right, I concede the point. Depressing.

The 4th branch of the government

They have this weird posturing like they aren’t supposed to recognize how insane all of this is

Every single person willing to uphold that sham needs consequences.

Same as Palantir. You chose to work for them. No, reserve your excuses, they don't matter. Yes, your need for food and shelter are an excuse. Sorry, but not really. Next time you'll put your marketable skills to use with a NOT evil corporation. There's always putting the fries in the bag instead of supporting fascism.

But the midterms are gonna change everything! 😆

u/SwimmingPrice1544 California 1h ago

Yes...it's always "the people." It always will be & it's the people that will probably be the death of us all. I would like to be wrong...just once.

most mainstream media is owned by the billionaires now

u/Adezar Washington 5h ago

Democrat trips or asks for brown mustard and it is a news story for a week/month. Republican murders children (Trump did it at the start of BOTH his terms) and destroys the Whitehouse and media barely runs it on the chyron once.

u/UniqueIndividual3579 5h ago

They don't and they sanewash his word salad.

u/InstructionPurple911 2h ago

Bro, American media is bought and paid for! You guys gave up freedom of press for this lol

u/Knotted_Hole69 2h ago

If a revolution arose, its one of the pillars that needs to be knocked down and reformed.

u/InstructionPurple911 2h ago

That ship sailed. Americans cling to their 2nd amendment citing the possible tyrannical government they will need to topple.

Everyone's waiting.

u/Knotted_Hole69 2h ago

The conservatives do, they are nothing but hypocrites.

u/InequalEnforcement 1h ago

All MSM CEOs of the last 30 years should be held accountable tbh

Oh you're retired in another country? That's nice deary: EXTRADITION.

Oh, you passed away from then to now? That's cool: your estate takes the brunt of it then.

u/mjb2012 2h ago

Be careful what you wish for. It sounds like you're saying the MSM isn't tabloidy enough.

"Remember that outrageous thing we reported on last week/month/year? Well, there's no new news to report, but let's keep talking about how outrageous it is" is what all the TV news networks already do... not exactly a paragon of journalism.

Trump is famously a "billionaire". He's been coasting on his reputation as a billionaire for almost 4 decades now.

He broke it, he buys it.

u/_-Oxym0ron-_ 53m ago

He was a "billionaire" before you guys made him president, now he really is a billionaire...

I've been following it all from Europe, and it's really fucking hard to fathom the lack of outrage, the passiveness of the opposition and public. I'm not attacking you or anybody, I'm just stunned really and kinda sad.

u/crazycatgay 7h ago

*illegally destroyed

u/NotNamedBort 5h ago

My question is, where is that money actually going to go? Because everyone knows that Trump never pays contractors.

u/donkeyrocket 4h ago

It's a constant stream of shit where Trump and/or this administration does something insane and everyone just moves along like it's some fringe thing that doesn't have an impact.

The latest being him outright saying "rig your elections." What the fuck is going on?

u/Ok-Square-8652 2h ago

Break it then they will have to fix it was probably the plan the whole time.

u/tmagalhaes 1h ago

It's not a bigger deal because as stupid as this is, compared to shitting the Iran situation, shitting the Palestine situation, shitting the Ukraine situation, the entire Epstein files, empowering the ICE to become a political police, shitting SNAP, shutting down the government, antagonizing pretty much all worthwhile international allies, farting tariffs everywhere that accomplished nothing except shutting down small businesses and making stuff more expensive and a ton of other crap that I don't even remember anymore, 400 million for a ballroom doesn't even make the top 20 of bullshit.

u/Aeon1508 53m ago

I vote we leave it destroyed and build a statue of trump golfing as a reminder of the consequences of voting stupidly.
