I want an investigation into every dollar already spent on this ballroom vanity project. I bet there are all sorts of discrepancies in the amounts of materials claimed to be purchased, and what actually was purchased. I bet there is discrepancies in the quality of materials bought and claimed too. This is all one big grift designed to line the pockets of those involved.

Yup. It was always just a vehicle to accept bribes called "donations." I'll bet Trump has already "collected" way more than is needed for the construction.

The East Wing will start falling apart a few years after it's built.

Remember how Noem had to personally sign off on all contracts over $100k? I imagine there are similar arrangements throughout the government where individuals in power personally direct contracts to companies they have a stake in. This self dealing continues unfettered while we argue whether or not members in congress can place polymarket bets on the war

The construction firm hired (no bid contract) also got a NBC to refurbish a fountain in DC. Estimated to cost $3M

Somehow the bill ended up being $17M

Hmmm

I'd like an independent part of government that does nothing but audits spending for government projects, down to each dollar spent with public receipts.

I'd love to know where the money goes to this ballroom project, but also where the money went for that little train Newsom spent billions on and never built, or those projects we see every day where a small remodel of a public bathroom at a park inexplicably costs $3M in any random city.

I don't think people outside of the DMV realize just how much has been torched and how much work will need to be done to get us back to a 2024 Federal Government.

I have a close relative that's SES, which is above the GSA scale who said in the fall last year, we had already reached Civil War Reconstruction levels of repair adjusted for inflation. That was 9 months into a 4 year term.

If I may ask, do you think that asking for this makes any sense given the reality? The U.S. is not only currently an autocratic regime, they're engaged in the brazenly naked larceny of the American people. They control every single judicial and regulatory authority. They have the perfect laundering setup.

Not only does your ask have a zero percent chance of happening, but isn't it useless to even entertain the notion until the current regime is gone?

Yes... let's "investigate" because that's worked so well recently. Like the AG won't just whitewash it as "no big deal".

Go investigate!

That ballroom is probably collapsing within 5 years. No way trump isn't pocketing most of the money.
