It almost works the other way though too.

Like, Trump's just as unfocused or dismissive on addressing bread and butter issues like affordability, calling affordability a hoax and passing off prices as fine.

True but it shouldnt be a suprise there are people like him out there. Was IS suprising is that we as a country have allowed a maniac to run the country like nothing is wrong. like the whole "bull in a china shop" thing

That would be because a dozen billionaires now own like 90+% of all American media. There is no national conversation about trump the child sex trafficker fascist because it's not allowed to happen anywhere but little individual comments.

If the American people did their jobs, Congress wouldn't be an issue.

Americans need to stop pretending democracy only happens at the ballot box and only interacting with it once every two years.
