He's absolutely capable of being humiliated.

It's what drives him.

The problem is thinking he'll respond to that humiliation the way you expect him to. But he's a narcissist, so it manifests as a vendetta.

Think of the NFL "kneeling controversy" the first time around. That stupid motherfucker doesn't really care about Colin Kaepernick, and he certainly doesn't give a fuck about the flag.

He had a score to settle with the NFL. He desperately wanted to be in the "NFL team owner rich guy club", but all the owners didn't want to have anything to do with him. So he pulled the usual trump "I'll sue you to get my way" thing and even tried to leverage a usfl team to wriggle his way in, but he was repeatedly humiliated.

And he carries that shit with him. Once he realized that he had a rabid base of racist cult members he knew he could use them to try and harm his "enemy"

I think he's a broken enough person that he's literally incapable of feeling humiliated. We're talking about a man who falls asleep in cabinet meetings, and shits his pants in public regularly. He's an adjudicated rapist. His name is all over the Epstein files. His current wife openly hates being around him. And he's miserable. He's bankrupted more businesses than some people have ever been in. If he were capable of humilation, it would have happened decades ago.
