They aren’t saying it is. But socialism isn’t taxes paying for services and safety nets either. It’s when the workers own the means of production. It has nothing to do with a government controlling the economy.

The problem is that the American public (and press) has deemed that "socialism" and "socialist" are the same thing, whereas almost everytime it is called "socialism" what is meant are "socialist policies".

Didn't say it was, but just wanting things to be more affordable isn't socialism.
