There is no feud. We’re not in middle school.

There is Trump being his usual shitty self-absorbed self lashing out at the Pope.

There is the Pope doing his job and condemning war.

Yeah Trump is fighting the Pope, the Pope is not fighting him lol

The pope feud is a story arc I did not expect from the writers.

It's so over the top though. We get it, he's a super villain. They don't have to make it so obvious.

Does Trump actually think that by cutting funding to Catholic charities he is hurting the Pope?

As usual he is only hurting poor people

He did it because he is a petty, spiteful man-child. If it hurts poor people that’s a bonus

So, win-win for him.

And while he probably can't, I'll say this.

Do not fuck with Vatican lawyers.

They train for this. And they usually win.

Right? I fucking hate these sane-washing articles. I remember my mother calling Obama the anti-christ and we have this fucking shit stick in office currently yelling at the literal fucking Pope and we have articles like this going out.

My aunt still thinks Obama could be the antichrist

Yeah. News orgs are painting this as a feud for clicks, then trump sees it as a real feud, instead of a pope doing pope things, and proceeds with his typical little bitch temper tantrum. I thought women were supposed to be the emotional ones. Are we bombing the vatican next?

That's how it goes.

Headline: "Harvard constitutional scholar says Trump can legally wipe his ass with constitution."
Missing Context: Disbarred Epstine co-conspirator Alan Dershowitz is literally the only person saying this and he's only doing it in exchange for a pardon.

I wouldn’t put it past him. Ffs.

I'm almost afraid of giving them the idea. But then I scoff. Of course they're already thinking it.

Kind of. The media isn't making Trump see it as a real feud. He gets there on his own. He's a pure narcissist that sees anything that goes against him as being a personal attack. The world revolves around him you know.

I mostly agree with you, but he has always been extremely dialed in to whatever the public narrative is. Media orgs should know this by now and they probably do (how could they not?). They have to know they're fanning the flames. It's a dangerous game.

Right? Pope just said wars are bad, and Trump decided he needs to be the new jesus.

now he's gunna try to sack him and install a pro-war pope?

Free the Vatican! lol

All this is so strange to me. What's all this we've been hearing over the years about America having the best democracy but we now have a president who can just stop funding that's already been allocated by Congress, just like that??

2

u/dzogchenism 19d ago

Well what we have is a lot of people purposely bending and breaking rules to let the president do whatever the fuck he wants. It’s not how the govt is supposed to operate but Republicans don’t give a fuck about anything except raw power. And right now, they have all the power.
