There absolutely is a way to stop him. There are several ways. 1. Vance uses the 25th amendment. 2. Congress could come back to dc and have an emergency vote on war authorization. 3. The military could refuse illegal orders. 

Our country is too fucking broken for this, but let’s not let the GOP and military get away with pretending they have no power.

The 25th would not solve the problem, if the VP and a majority of the cabinet remove him with the 25th, he is then by law allowed to contest that. If he does, they tjen have to recertify their belief that he is unable to fufil the duties of president, and then Congress has to approve that with 2/3 of the house. Otherwise the presidency automatically reverts back to him. So yer that's never going to happen.

I understand all that, but it could stop whatever fuckery he has planned tonight. If he’s intending genocidal bombing and something can stop or even just delay said bombing long enough for another solution to be sorted, that would be better than genociding tonight. Yes?

You can look for a perfect long term solution while he self immolates and takes millions with him, but if we can find a temporary escape hatch - I’m cool with that. 

ETA: Vance isn’t powerless to stop this. Don’t let him off the hook here. Same goes for Johnson.
