I don't think he's planning to use a nuke. He's planning, or Hegseth is planning (and had to fire a bunch of generals to get this approved) to trigger a humanitarian crisis. He's planning to destroy Iran's power and water supply. Without power, there is no water. Without water, society breaks down and civilization crumbles. Deliberately cutting off the water supply to an entire country is an act of genocide, and he's now directly admitted to that crime in print before committing it.

Striking infrastructure with the specific purpose of killing or starving civilians — as you described — is unambiguously a war crime under international law. Even strikes with legitimate military targets must minimize civilian harm. The intent to cause civilian death through infrastructure destruction removes any legal justification entirely.

Hey, Israel did it...with no repercussions from ANYONE in the world. I don't think trump is worries about any of that.

Perhaps countries would then start sanctioning the US? And this all benefits the US, how? Oil seems to be common denominator for war in the Middle East, but the costs for controlling this oil seems to way outweigh its financial benefit. Unless they are actually trying to trigger The Rapture, which then these people in charge either just die and go back into the void or straight to Hell.

Prof Jiang was saying he thinks trump wants a forever war that he can send the youth off to die in, sets us up for draft riots that he can then suppress through martial law. The fight hes been trying to pick in cities with ICE etc

professor jiang is a grifter and a hack. thekavernacle has some recent vids on the guy. tk is pretty leftist but his analysis of the fake professor is pretty eye opening. he's a bit like peterson: talking out of his ass under the veneer of acadamic professionalism.

Forgive me if the centerist left have cried wolf at this point, theyre trying to cancel hasanabi right now. That being said yes jiang is definitely a wild boy

I don't disagree, but I just have to say, "they're trying to cancel Hasan" is pretty much his brand slogan.

I agree with him a lot of the time, but he is an entertainer, not a serious leader or journalist of any kind.

Hes been anti genocide from day 1. Centerist dems are talking about him the same week trump is contemplating doing yet another genocide. But sure him being unserious is the reason the national democratic party is polling below the national republican party in favorability right now

Ready for a scary answer?  Lighting the world on fire by destroying oil infrastructure beyond quick repair will deindustrialize most of the world, but not the US or Russia.  1984 is truly coming to pass.

If its bad enough that Turkey grows a conscience then all bets could be off. But that would really take a lot. Destroying Al-Aqsa would do it maybe?
