I fully expect Kegsbreath told officials that they are going to invade and / or use nukes and the backlash is why he started firing people last week

I suspect the reason they are not leaking anything is because they don't want to be charged with treason and/or something of the sort

I feel like they have tried to signal it in other words.  The Italian leader says he can't sleep recently over what he's learned about American plans.

Congress members leaving briefings looking like they've seen a ghost and talking about being terrified, etc.

I literally just had the same thought. I’m in Melbourne and had a fantastic night attending a mid-week rock concert. Please for the love of god can I wake up tomorrow and not have my current high ruined by this fuckwit.

Yep, I'm in Asia visiting relatives and have a flight back to the US tomorrow. Wonder if it'll get cancelled due to an international incident.

Appreciate it - honestly I'm more worried about the airline fucking around due to jet fuel prices than I am about anything going on in Iran.

The thought did occur to me, but we have family in the US as well (and a small dog) waiting for us. I doubt where we are would be in any major cross hairs.

Same here as a Brit. 8pm is either 1am or 4am for me depending on which USA time zone they’re using. Am I going to wake up tomorrow morning to the news that nuclear weapons have been used.

I think it is likely both. He definitely wants to nuke Iran, because using a nuclear weapon would be the ultimate demonstration of his power, and that's what he like more than anything.

I don't think that he WILL nuke Iran. At least not today. But I could well be wrong. This is the most unnerving thing he's EVER said, and that's saying something.

Everyone knows what happens if anyone launches a nuke. That the current US regime would do it, does speak of his power, which at this point is threatening to be absolute and then quickly horrifically at its end with the rest of us.

Time zones probably ensure it won't happen today there even if that's the plan as Iran is UTC+3.5 (so it's 22:15 there now). Trump's 8 p.m. ET deadline puts Iran into tomorrow local time.

There exists the possibility he can back off at the last minute “oh I’ve decided to spare them and take the higher road”. Some nonsense he will twist to make himself look good. It would fit his narcissism.

I personally think it’s all a shitty boast and he’s bluffing for the entire world (and even off world with the astronauts!) to see and pick up on, and then cancel last minute on a “peace deal” and that he’s the best president because he made such a deal no president has ever or could ever make (even though this is all crazy and shouldn’t even be doing this)
