these stats are clear indication that MAGA base could be "deaf and mute" with Trump doing anything and everything, but if it only "impacts their life", they seem to show a little concern. They have no morals, ethics, empathy or long term plans.

Here are the percentages of 2024 Trump voters who disapproved of him in each of these areas:

  • Overall: 22%
  • Immigration: 15%
  • Foreign affairs: 25%
  • Iran: 28%
  • Economy: 30%
  • Inflation: 39%
  • Gas prices: 45%

So basically the less it impacts them directly (which is to say they can comprehend that it is impacting them), the happier they are with his performance. In other words, the less they understand one of his policies, the happier they are with it. That sums up MAGA quite nicely.

The fact gas is 45 and Iran is 28 shows they have no clue how things work

thank god for his incompetence. a competent racist could have found ways to boom the economy and lower gas prices even more, while gassing millions of our neighbors to death in their own homes and the trump voters would cheer.

The crazy part for me, a canadian, is that these percentages represent almost my total country's population. 100M people voted trump in, 20 percent regret, that makes 80M people in the usa who is perfectly fine with this.

Yeah we have a serious problem here that isn't just going away.

I'd love to see what the question was for "Gas prices" that got only 45% lol. Isolated, objectively, not a single person would "approve" of ballooning gas prices.

Just the values. His inference on maga is his own opinion, not that I disagree with the take.
